In dutch we have the saying "van ruilen komt huilen" which litrerally translated means "from trading comes crying" (it rhymes in dutch)
But we all keep doing it, and sometimes we get some really good gems out of it with both parties happy!
I wanna hear happy/interesting stories about trading^^ I'll go first:

At some point I had a character i thought i'd connect to a lot, but they left me very cold, even after I drew em. I was a lil bummed about it, but someone offered a trade on her, and they seemed SO excited about her! The character they were offering was the same value, or a little higher, I'm not entirely sure, but the trade was decent in value. The offered character didn't do anything for me, but since the person offering wanted my character so badly I figured why the hell not, so the trade proceeded.
For the first period I started disliking the character more and more and I got salty about it being in my toyhouse and not selling or being offered trades on. I felt the pressure to actually do something with it, maybe redesign?
I decided to just go back to the original design and see where I could take it from there.
So I went back to the original design, and while workign on it i realised that the only thing i really wanted to change was the hair, which wasn't on the original design in the first place. So after some fiddlign with it I came up with a new haircut for the character, barely having to change the original design and it's now actually one of my most favorite characters:D

I know most of that story isn't very positive, but the result in the end was super positive♥ I never expected such a random trade to turn out like that. The person that offered on my character still uses it as one of their mains aswell, and it's been over a year^^

Important:
Q: What does "EO" stand for?
A: EO= "Entertaining offers". When you have characters that you really love, you usually make sure no-one offers on them. When you're entertaining offers you are giving people the chance to offer on characters you normally don't allow offers on. Lowballing characters that are EO is considered rude, and often frustrates the owner of the characters.

If I have an unreachable dreamie of yours, absolutely do let me know in the EO period, And let me know what you want to offer for them! If it's a good offer for me I might even do paymentplans or the like.

If you're looking for a nice deal, this EO week isnt for you. You may haggle in my for sale folder and in my for sale folder only~!

To make trade offers more likely to succeed, I decided to write up a preferences Bulletin, so here it is!

General Trade offer do's and don'ts:
DO
- Read the Description of the character you want. Does it say something you're not sure about? Ask in comments!
- Say exactly what you're offering (Ex.: I offer a fully shaded Halfbody of a character of your choice, normally valued at €60)
- State what the approximate value of your offer is, not only when you offer money but also when offering art (you probably have a commissionlist, refer to that for the values of your art)

DON'T:
- "Anyone in my toyhouse?" This is a petpeeve that makes me single out your sonas and ask for all of them.
- Don't ask for holds for longer than 3 days (if we agree on art, you get more time ofcourse)

OFFER CONTENTS: Currency, Art or Characters/Items.

CURRENCY If you're offering money in exchange for a character I have up for sale: 
DO's
- You can haggle on some characters, but do keep in mind their value!
- My preferred currency is Euro, but you may also offer in USD. Make sure to send the money in the offered Currency when paying!
- You may inquire if it's okay to offer DA points on characters that have been up for longer than a week.

DON'Ts
- Don't lowball me, unless the character states "Any offer" or anything liek it.
- Don't offer me Imvu credits man, I'm a creator, I drown in them. They barely have any value for me.

ART If you're offering art in exchange for a character I have up for sale: 
DO's
- Link an example. Art you're offering doesn't have to be freehand art, but make sure to link an example of what you are offering! This saves me having to ask  for it(sometimes when not provided I wont ask at all and you lose your  chance)
- Offer art equal or higher value than the characters selling worth (Meaning price in the name, or
- You may absolutely let me know what (type of) Character you want to draw for me! I have a lot to choose from, If you like drawing a particular style character i don't mind giving you that pleasure!

DON'Ts
- NEVER offer me NSFW art(barbienude is fine). I will not accept.
- I'm unfortunately not in the market for low level base art. I'm proud of you for starting somewhere~! But please dont offer paint-basefills for my characters.
