These characters are students at the titular "Aylanthum Academy" and are the main characters that the series will follow

Each of these characters attend Aylanthum Academy because of their unusually strong magical abilities, regular Muki's are forbidden from learning spells outside of their individual proficiency, however Muki's who attend Aylanthum Academy are allowed to. .

All of these students are tutored specifically by Hemenedial Francis and Matholomus Francis, the two co-owners of Aylanthum Academy, they are encouraged to learn spells that aid in combat specifically and are trained to be able to harness their unusually high levels of magic, however eventually some of these students suspect that the school isn't all that it seems.

Each of these characters aside from Xavia, have a number associated with them, it's currently unknown why
Aylanthum Academy is a college and they all live on campus in individualised dorm rooms
Exi and Atticus often go missing for days on end, no one knows what they're up to or where they're going

Phantoms are creatures who have been cursed to a constant state of limbo, unable to interact with the physical world or be seen by others

Being turned into a Phantom is one of the worst fates one can endure, it is permanent and eternal, every Phantom loses their mind after a while. A Phantom's visual form isn't technically physical and therefore can slowly change in unusual ways over time in order to reflect their declining mental state.

Regular citizens have no idea that Phantoms exist, becoming a Phantom is a punishment to silence those who try to reveal the sinister secrets of Eresia. Every phantom owns a talisman which is an item that they were so connected to when they were corporeal which now serves as their link to the physical world, if someone where to touch the talisman, they will be able to see the Phantom, when this happens a Phantom is able to make a deal with whoever holds the talisman, this deal will allow this person to permanently see the Phantom, if they break the deal, they will wither away and die.

These are characters who are Eresian rulers and/or have a direct connection to Cythera, most of these characters are antagonists with some exceptions

Cythera is the ruler of Eresia, Eresia is a monarchy with Cythera at the very top of the social ladder. Eresia is split into sectors which are each governed by a ruler, these rulers are the second highest power Muki's. Some of these characters aren't rulers but instead work for Cythera, whether it be in her army, or as trading partners, or simply mutuals.

Eresian royalty enforce Cythera's ruling and represent her at public events, it is known that Cythera is currently ruling over Eresia however Cythera has not been seen in the flesh by civilians for thousands of years

Matholomus and Hemenedial are the cofounders of Aylanthum Academy but they do work directly under Cythera's rule
These characters and the phantoms are the only characters to truly know the nefarious secrets about Cythera and Eresia, however while Phantoms tried to expose these secrets, the upper class characters accept these secrets for various reasons and work hard to keep them hidden.
Rulers of Eresia's sectors have existed for thousands of years, despite being of high status as well respected, none of them have any magic, there are many theories as to why this is the case but no one knows for sure, no one knows what's keeping them alive either as Muki's only have a slightly longer life span than humans.
