The colony of Little Grove is located in a very self-explanatory setting; a little tree grove. It's, of course, small and hidden away from most other places but the hedgehogs of this colony enjoy it for it's homely feel. The trees of the grove are quite wide in some places and one has a small opening in it where a few small hedgehogs may shelter when sick or injured. The grove has several dens and burrows where the rest of the members reside, most of them hidden in thick bushes or at the bases of trees. The trees in the area are mostly deciduous with a few coniferous trees sprinkled further away from the colony's grove. A small stream runs just outside of the grove providing the ground and the hedgehogs with fresh water and a nice place to play when it gets really hot. Little Grove is a fairly mystical place and sure feels that way when the colder months roll around. When the trees start losing their leaves is the best time for the colony in terms of beauty. The trees become vibrant with oranges and reds making the whole place seem like a mythical plane of existence.

Founding Tale:

The colony of Little Grove is said to have been founded long after the world was built by the lone hedgehog by a hedgehog who worked for the gods and goddesses that are now worshipped by Little Grove. The hedgehog was called Sindri, a weaponsmith for the gods when war broke out between the dark deities and the good deities of the grove. It is said that Sindri and his brother spent many moons searching for the perfect place to hide and work while the war was going on and had spread to their own colony and destroyed everything they loved and cherished. In order to fight back against the dark forces Sindri and his brother, Balder, worked together to find a hidden place to make weapons for the gods to fight back with since they themselves were too weak to. The two eventually found a beautiful grove of trees that was tucked away from the world. The brothers took in lost and wandering hedgehogs that sought shelter from the war and thus the colony, Little Grove, was formed. The founding story has been passed from generation to generation being told by each and every leader to his or her colony. The Little Grove colony holds the tale as their founding story and questions anyone who dares question their origin.
