I block liberally because I like to curate a space that gives me the least stress to manage health related issues (that can land me in the hospital.) If I block you, it's generally because something (minor or major) makes me uncomfortable about you. Don't take it personally. If you block me, that's alright, I won't take it personally either. However do not expect me to contact you or to let you contact me while blocked. :V It's very rude to block evade for any reason and I dislike rude people or being rude myself.
However, I do also block folks with public blacklists that make no sense because I don't want to associate with people who are willing to put strangers into the line of fire for doing something that makes them mildly upset ie: for blocking the person blacklisting, being associated with someone they have blacklisted or selling ocs to people they don't like. I've been on a blacklist before for something stupid (which is resolved), and even if folks say not to harrass, I was harrassed and kept getting unsolicited messages for months until it was taken down. It's not fair to others to do that and makes a lot of folks look like jerks when they want to just move on.
The only public blacklists I'm okay with are proper PSAs about predators and scammers with sufficient proof.
Please be mature and just block and move on if you don't like someone for something personal/petty.
