wanted to come on here and apologise— i just spent the last week and some change spending a lot of time with my cat. i have had her since i was 9 years old. she was in her end of life stage and i was taking close care of her so she could pass peacefully at home. she was a stubborn fighter, always beating the odds.
she passed away at 3:00 am on monday, april 1st. and its been.. a lot, trying to get used to processing the grief. i only recently learned what a soul cat is.. and she was definitely mine. hopefully she'll be home tomorrow, as she was taken to the crematory on monday afternoon. i miss her so fucking much.
rest in peace, mommas. i love you so much.

hii!!! this is well over a month late but... life got kinda crazy!! so i apologise. things still aren't settled but.. i've achieved a bit of an equilibrium state where I can confidently get some work done daily, so i'm finally opening these up :] hoping to take two ! could be swayed for more, but we'll see. sorry this whole bulletin is a bit of a mess. i'm still not in a good place so i've little spoons to put stuff together T__T

hELLO!!! IT IS TIME FOR THE VALENTINES AUCTION!!! YAAA!!! I had so much fun with this design, and I had fun designing a little outfit for them too! So with this design comes the lore update, which I'll try to summarize below! I need to properly type up Appositi lore sometime.. so if anyone has any specific questions or like, areas of potential lore that I could include— let me know! I'll probably just add it to my trait list, or even write up a new sheet that includes the traits and some general loose lore.
You're not obligated to follow said lore, since at their core they're just winged humanoids with magical powers. So please, feel free to make up your own lore! :)
My inspiration behind this design comes from my updated Serpositi form for Serathiel, and some of my super old early day lore, which went as followed...
↳ "They're magic users, mainly forms of arcane magicks that are hard to handle and tend to destroy users. The rune markings you see on the first one and on the green one are markings that have appeared due to overuse of magicks and loss of ones soul. The magic soon takes over the host, causing them to lose their mind and become a deity to the god of the magic they're using."
So, as an Appositi grows their strength in magic, regardless of rune appearance, they can "ascend" in a way, to a more deity/god-like form. Which is where Serpositi come in! The three I've sold are still applicable designs, but I'm definitely expanding on them a bit more. (Would be happy to offer to update the designs in custom fashion) Better visuals. Any Appositi is able to become this higher being, but the change is not immediate. (They can also be born with this abundance of good magical fortune, but it's RARE). They can sprout more wings, grow more gems, have markings appear on their body— that leads them into godhood. The more limbs an Appositi has, the more magic that flows through their body.
Once achieved, they have the freedom to transform between their serpent form and their humanoid form, though their humanoid form becomes.. different. The number of wings may change, the tail length may change.. something will change. They look like an Appositi again, but something is off. An uncannily regular appearance. This helps them blend in once they've ascended if they so wish to mingle amongst the common-folk again. Unlike my old lore, the Appositi does not "lose their mind", but their personality may change.
As a note, these are NOT free to make. You may not update your own appositi into a serpositi, and so on.
GILDED SWEETHEART has far too many wings, more than normal gems, and a LOT of feather growth— this all hints at their upcoming ascension. It is not a conventional magic type, but a power of love and all the warmth that comes with it could be their focus.

hiii!!! ive been working hard on these appositi and having a great time while doing so. It's been SOOO long since i've been bitten by such a strong design bug, so I've been having a great time! These are all going to be valentines specific, meaning they all have heart shaped gems! I will list out all their specific traits when the post goes up properly :)
Also shown below is the auction design I plan to post up friday if I can finish it! I've been cooking up some appositi lore in my spare time for my world with friends, and I've been itching to explore it a bit. So this design is a debut for that!! I gotta type up all the lore properly.. but you'll hear more about it on friday!! No one is bound by these rules or this lore when purchasing my adopts, so don't worry if you have your own ideas!! I've just been having a lot of fun :D

also! i'm considering opening customs on the above flat sale loose base style. It's been super fun to get the proper wing symmetry and designs with the symmetry tool, so I want to start maybe keeping at it for that good visual reference! If anyone might be interested, please let me know! Would love to maybe take a few before properly debuting them to get a feel for it. Probably a $150~$200 price range, depending on traits and detail.

Hiii!! It's been so long since I've designed a valentines appositi, but I got hit with a really strong appositi-pilled beam and I've been kinda going bonkers recently. I've sketched up some loose concepts for some appositi to sell for valentines day, but I was curious about how general interest with a process of selling might go.
So I drew these loosely with a symmetry tool to get the wings and markings equal (I learned how to use symmetry tools this past year and it's been lifechanging.............) and I was curious if folks would like to buy them like this? Or if there's a preference for unique body/pose drawings, which leaves the like.. physique and visual gender appearance up to me as the artist instead of leaving it up to the buyer.
If I sold them like this, as a loose base-style, I would offer higher tiers for finished artwork, outfits, etc! I'm thinking of doing it auction style, but I'm not sure. I've been having fun though! Might try to offer blind customs through the symmetry tool style. We'll see!!

appositi trait list has been updated to reflect random various traits i've used throughout the years! including a general list of holiday specific special traits I've used. I've been thinking about myos again too, and maybe a myo=>official base/art event where I take ur designs and officialize them. dunno though. been brainstorming though.

hello!!! i finished up these bust adopts the other day and i'm finally getting around to posting up the two still available. These were fun to work on inbetween some bigger work, and I think I might try to do more bust adopts! It's very freeing to be able to design a visual without all of it in one go. so i keep seeing bust design adopts on twitter, and they seem kinda fun. a small like, vibe of a character with enough of a design for a face visual, with some freedom for the rest of a design. it made me want to do some quick little doodle designs without all the extra stress of trying to make a full cohesive design, and ive been busy with my queue, so i was curious if anyone might be interested if i put some ideas down to sell?
I'm thinking like.. 50$ a pop. with an option for getting the full design by me for a higher price? let me know! im curious.

so i did this sketch a while back when i was in a pinch to try and design, but i've been soo totally burned out design wise that it's just been sitting.. 😂 but!! i wanted to see about maybe putting it up as a semi-custom? so you'll give me palette, traits, clothing style, hairstyle, etc, and ill finish the design for you! it's been a while since i've designed a horned appositi. can also be non-appositi if desired!
