• little notes:
• I came up with Alamanni when i was thirteen and just getting into making weird furry ocs and I hope a bit of that energy carries over even now <3
• Eldritch beasties are a thing, not all are malevolent. born from a nightmare of the bugs which nibble at the existence dragon's corpse, they have a long running history with the sophonts of Alamanni (indirectly inspired the event which lead to the birth of humanity, very directly transformed animals into the biped furryguys that are Vennettes to act as companions to this new species+as reward for generations of amiable communication)
• The only fully nonsentient beings are reptiles. The awareness of birds+fish is a real point of debate among Alamannite scientists+philosophers, though they are still regularly eaten. Bugs make up the majority of protein intake and fermented foods are a HUGE thing (as a cute play into the importance of rot to the metaphysics of the setting lol)
• The Main Theme of sorts is impermanence. A spiral that closes in a bit tighter with each new loop, the world is slowly ending and there is nothing you can do, etc etc
