Torrey and Naia get along quite well, and he considers her a good friend!
Naia is on good terms with Torrey. She enjoys playing with him and would say he's one of her buddies.
Torrey unintentionally causes a lot of stress for Marli, and he is painfully aware of this fact. He does his best to support her since he really does admire and respect her as a leader! ...but the problem is, he has a knack for getting into trouble during his many adventures. He's always rather apologetic whenever his trouble becomes Marli's trouble.
Marli finds Torrey pleasant company and quite likes him! She just...wishes she wasn't responsible for him. As the leader of the Reef Runners, Marli must make sure her stationmates are optimal. This becomes rather difficult when Torrey leaves on a journey across Mystic Shores for a stranger he found in the fountain. Still, a part of her is proud of him, and she's rooting for his success.
Gwen only meets Emmy after they have both had their respective adventures in the Dream Realm. They bond over that shared experience, as well as their mutual love of all things theme park. Gwen really admires how bold and brave Emmy seems, especially after what she's been through. The two have really become important to one another, and not only is she one of Gwen's dearest friends-- but Gwen has something of a crush on her.
Emmy meets Gwen after her experience in the Dream Realm. It's her that approaches Gwen, since the story of someone missing for several months then turning up unharmed is...well, familiar. As someone who has struggled with loneliness, Emmy is delighted to know Gwen-- she feels like she finally has a companion that not only shares her interests, but understands her on a deep level. Gwen makes Emmy feel like she isn't a solo traveler in the world...and that's so valuable. Emmy's friendship with Gwen is quickly blooming into romantic feelings for her-- although Emmy is less experienced with friends in general so she isn't quite aware yet that that is what she is feeling.
Of all the Wild Rays, Tex is the one Gwen is still...a little scared of. She does not believe he has any ill-intent and holds none towards him at all! She knows he's just a playful kid with immense power. That said, she does not enjoy getting tackled and zapped, so if he ever asks her to play Bumper Tag, she is running from there as fast as she can.
Tex does not mean to cause harm to Gwen-- he just does not understand his own power. He finds her reactions to things really comical and so always invites her to play Bumper Tag whenever he sees her... with genuinely no idea that she does not enjoy the game whatsoever.
Gwen's both confused and intimidated by Velma, seeing them as a kind of enigma. Since they are the leader of the Wild Rays, they're the one that Gwen has the most experience talking to. She's glad for that at least, because Velma does follow a strict line of logic...it's just unfortunately one that's incomprehensible to her.
Velma initially viewed Gwen as a potential playmate, albeit one that had a laughably poor understanding of Bumper Tag's rules. But once they found out Gwen was a Guest, they flip to being quite respectful and-- almost intimidated by her. Granted, Gwen is the first Guest apart from Barclay that Velma has ever even met, so a lot of their nervousness stems from inexperience.
Joe's known Ruya since she was a kid, thanks to her having been friends with Coco, though they were not really anything beyond acquaintances. Due to this, meeting her after his cryosleep was not quite so jarring for him...he's been able to get to know her on new terms as members of the same guild.
Ruya's always thought nicely of Joe-- seeing as he was always pleasant to her when she was around. She felt his apparent death heavily since she spent a lot of time with Coco following The Event... and now that he's back from what everyone thought was The Dead she's unsure how to process it. Which is not to say she does not appreciate him being around! He's nice and funny and reliable as ever-- she just hasn't quite wrapped her head around the whole thing.
Torrey's known Stan for awhile, so he isn't put off by his peculiar ways. In fact, Stan often sets up shop near the Reef Runner station, so Torrey's quite familiar with him! He isn't afraid to tell him to stop messing around when need-be, either.
Stan thinks Torrey is a good kid! He's proud of him for going on a huge adventure with a Guest, but he is worried about him out in the wide world like that. He'd never, ever admit it, but that's part of why he's been appearing so often on his travels; he feels the need to look after Torrey and make sure he's okay.
Gwen can't quite get a read on Stan. She's grateful for all his help and advice, but finds him to be a little bit of an oddball. Gwen's also generally unnerved by his ability to show up almost anywhere and really wishes he'd just tell her how on earth he does that.
Stan is a genuinely helpful person and has pure intentions towards all the advice he gives to Gwen on her journey...though he does get a huge kick out of the fact that she seems spooked by his abilities. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't leaning into the mystery a bit for his own amusement. He isn't mean-spirited towards her by any means, and when push comes to shove he'd stick his neck out for her... he just also happens to really enjoy messing with her a bit. He's kind of somewhere between mischievous fae and uncle towards her.
Arlo made a less than stellar first impression on Elodie when the two of them first met in history class. This only became contempt when he was the reason she ended up in Saturday detention. They were on track to become mortal enemies if not for a phantasm attack that forced the two of them to work together. In spending time with Arlo, Elodie's impression of him as a careless slacker changed, and she came to see that he is actually a very intelligent, kindhearted person. Now the two of them are officially teammates, and Elodie considers Arlo her very best friend... and miiiiiight have a bit of a budding crush on him.
Arlo didn't think too much of Elodie at first... she was one of those try-hard students that he pitied. After she became a magi to save him from a phantasm, he felt guilty for getting her into that situation and so took it upon himself to help her out with her new powers. During this time, he grew close to her. Arlo's relationship with Elodie is the one that he treasures the most, though he doesn't yet want to admit to himself just how much she means to him.
