He would be lying to himself if he said that he wasn’t feeling anxious. He was mostly excited, but his worry was starting to overshadow that. It had been close to two years since he spoke to his son. That was easily the longest amount of time that they've spent apart, and Michael knew it was his fault.

He rarely ever doubted himself- in fact, he was known for his certainty and decision-making skills. This time was different, however. Michael's choices never stared up at him with such small, familiar eyes.
