THE LIBRARY OF MANMADE MAGICS

Merit is one of the halicis -- which are supposed to produce some of the most powerful magic-users in the known world. She was separated from her family as a baby and raised by alchemists. As a result, she does not know how to tap into her innate magical ability. She teams up with a nervous blue cat who is learning alchemy to journey across the small kingdom to find the Library of Manmade Magics, hoping she will learn how to use her own magic along the way.

When they arrive, they discover the library is destroyed. A mysterious group that favors natural magic is determined to quash developments in alchemy before it becomes a threat. Thus Merit gets caught up between sacred tradition and the promises of an unknown future. 

Then the gods decide they want to play, too...
