hello! it would really depend heavily based on the quality, length, etc. and etc.
if they were all equal in everything ( with no backstory or extra art let's say ) then that would be torture to me as a judge X_X a game would be cool to make in my opinion? however again, all are equal in the sense that i judge based on quality, not really the type of project :D👍if you're wondering what to do for a entry please have fun with the process of creating! hope that answers your question!

hm, i'd say try experimenting with expressions! sometimes i sacrifice anatomy for the sake of a cool or intense expression, which i think is ok. although one day i'd like to master both XD exaggerating poses and stuff also helps show personality! i think your art is already very cute though :]

thinking of one/two themes such as a certain type of food helps me! i think picking a occupation like detective or something could also work,, for patterns i often go with lighter muzzles and paws, usually i don't go ham on the patterns cause i'm too lazy to draw them PFFF- plus in my opinion too many different shades can look a tad cluttered? but some designs can pull it off really well so maybe i just can't design patterns XD instead i prefer to add a lot of accessories! like, bowties, hats, etc. it just feels like you can do a lot with them!
ANYWAYS sorry for that block of text that makes very little sense, i don't feel very qualified to give advice so that's just my process! 👈(ﾟヮﾟ👈)
