They could be friends, probably.
But Traveler knows the Verse doesn't like them at the moment.
She has good reasons to, Traveler just does not care.
Does the Traveler want to help or hinder?
Verse can't make sense of it.
Whatever it is, they're a stranger. Verse has every reason to be wary.
This guy just does NOT shut up.
Though, Traveler is surprisingly okay with that. It's nice to have him around, doing most of the chatting for them.
Given time, they'll become close friends.
This one wandered into his labyrinth and got lost.
Any stranger of his star is interesting company, it's just that Traveler is more fun to poke at.
Something about their attentive listening and deadpan replies just -gets- him, he wants to keep going just to hear them laugh. Even the quiet ones, he'll see as a trophy.
Given time, they'll become close friends. But it honestly depends on intent.
For a Verse, she looks young.
Then again, they are different beings. So maybe they follow a different set of rules.
This Verse is fun to be around. As in, it's interesting to poke and see what works on her and what doesn't.
He figured he should be friends with most people in this star system, so why would that exclude the Verse?
Stop giving her tea samples, please.
Her cupboards are full of his gifts.
Aside from that, this Keeper is pushy. So unlike his mentor.
She appreciates that he talks to her as an equal, however.
Usually, Pathfinders and Keepers maintain their distance from a Verse, but Mares stubbornly crosses it anyway.
Verse can't say she doesn't enjoy it, anyhoo.
Passive fellow. Tries too hard to keep up the 'nice' act.
Don't get her wrong, Mares -is- nice. But TOO nice. It's awkward.
She has no time for formalities, so she broke the ice really fast.
Mares is a good friend, one she doesn't have to worry about betraying her and overthrowing her star. It's nice to not have an enemy, for once.
Mathilda is happy she's comfortable enough to talk about anything with him, and the sentiment seems to be returned.
She knows of his relationship with the people of his star; practically nonexistent.
Mathilda tells him to be more active in its progress, at least, though Mares is content leaving them to their fates.
The youngest Keeper, but so,so powerful. He's almost jealous.
Mathilda is a good friend, once you get past the possibility of death by her spear.
She makes for a great debate partner, considering how many things they disagree over.
Despite their varying opinions, Mares still trusts Mathilda enough to share personal matters.
He makes trips to her star often. It bothers him that it's so oppressive, but Mares is unwilling to tell her how to run her own land.
Charming individual. Makes people laugh a lot.
He can get behind that.
Mares admires the way he holds his people close to his heart, and how -open- Bachi is. It really warms a heart.
He wonders if he could learn a thing or two from him.
They have met a long time before when the Yellow Star was younger. It was an interesting time, and Mares wonders if it's appropriate to tease him about it.
He's hot.
Okay, aside from the obvious, he's a pretty decent guy!
Seems to hold the title of Keeper very seriously; not that Bachi doesn't, but their idea of 'duty' is quite different.
They're friends now, but Bachi wishes Mares' first impression of him was better.
He hopes he forgot most of it because it was embarrassing.
Annoying.
Traveler doesn't want a buddy when they're traversing paths.
But this one seems determined to talk to them.
Pathfinders usually don't remember names. but Drift does.
Traveler finds this quite touching, really.
They're...very quiet! And sometimes rude!
Tough cookie to crack, but Drift never gives up.
---
Made to protect the Host, as per suggested by Resaariel for safety precautions.
Was never close to her, despite always being by her side.
Imaginaria knows the Host made her to protect the Plains in her absence.
She only hopes she can live up to those expectations.
---
Her best friend.
Parisa's not sure where she stands right now with the Host, but the belief that she'll come back keeps her anchored.
---
Met when they were both children.
They used to be adventure buddies, and it was fun for a while at least.
---
Resaariel thought Rochelle was too brash, too eager to fight.
It was a bad influence on the Host and a bad example to everyone else in the Plains.
Plus, a child succeeding her role as Rule? She will never admit it, but she was affronted by the thought at first.
After being with Rochelle so long and leading alongside her, Resaariel has learned that she's not as childish as she believed.
She has some respect for her, though they still butt heads.
An angel? Alright. Seen weirder things.
Resaariel-- Rochelle knew her as Sparkle so let's go with that.
Sparkle is alright. Very, responsible. Keeps treating her like a kid even though she was hailed a hero in her old world.
For someone who ran away from home to escape its rules, Sparkle is very pushy about keeping things safe.
They've disagreed on some things, and Rochelle thinks Sparkle could lose a few responsible feathers. But she's alright.
Rochelle doesn't say it often, but the angel is very reliable when things get ugly.
It's reassuring to have her by her side.
Nervous fluttering thing.
Rochelle jests-- but seriously Nari needs to calm down and realize not everything is her responsibility.
They're pretty close, and having someone of her age around is comforting.
Rochelle would consider Nari as family, seeing that they basically kinda grew up together.
She had reservations about Nari at first; making another Host seemed odd.
Rochelle never discussed this with her and doesn't plan to until it's necessary.
Imaginaria doesn't know how Rochelle -does- it.
That aloof air, that intimidating aura...and determination.
Fit for a leader, and she wants to learn from her.
They're pretty close, and Nari sees Rochelle as a pillar of support.
In fact, she's one of the first friends she made in the Plains, so she treasured that friendship.
A father her family deserves.
He has been kind to her, always ensuring that everyone was taken care of despite himself.
Also, warm. It's nice to cuddle Foster. She misses that a bit since she's not home.
She's...so much!
Phlox looks up to her because she's done amazing things for the Plains.
She feels like she knows more about her sister from people's conversations than anything though; it's been so long since she left the village.
Phlox can't decide if she misses Haru or not.
Her sister had been nice to her before, but she wasn't around a lot.
She's fun.
Haru is glad she escaped a childhood under their bio parents and got one with Foster and Parisa instead.
She doesn't know enough about her sister, and Haru is regretful about that.
Hopefully one day that will change.
Haru suspects she did something to offend the Host. But she's not sure what.
She doesn't dwell on it, though if there's any way to rectify whatever problem there is, she'll like to know.
She's...something.
Imaginaria thinks she doesn't like Haru very much.
She avoids her as much as possible.
It's not really Haru's fault, but something about this cat just...ticks at Nari.
Like the cat is stepping into a space that's supposed to belong to her.
Nari supposes it's envy, and she doesn't like being reminded of the things she could have done but didn't.
This dog knows her brother and talks about him a lot.
It's sweet to hear that her brother made a...friend? (Amarant seems to hope for more.) But it's also weird to hear about a side of her brother she never knew of before.
Otherwise, Amarant is dependable. He's easy to talk to and she appreciates that.
Iyonzu talks about her sometimes. Mostly about how she's frustrating.
She's different in person, though Amarant supposes being friends with someone and living with them as family is different
A friend. One they've had longer than most, actually.
He's an alright person, very diplomatic, and really makes the effort to make them feel welcomed (Mares is adamant about it to the point it comes off as pushy).
They like his star; it's calming and quiet. It suits him.
Traveler is often drawn back to this world for its tranquility and his companionship.
Which is very welcomed in the vastness of space.
Someone to share tea with whenever they stopped by his star.
(They don't like it too much though, so he always brews something new when they come over.)
He appreciates their quiet companionship, their short quips and surprising edge.
Traveler is just so -interesting- , and so much like him.
Mares has thought about courting them, though with little reciprocation from the other side he stopped.
If Iyonzu had to call someone Father, it would be Foster.
His old one sucked.
Iyonzu has never been very close to his guardians, though he appreciates Foster.
He makes him feel...safe. And protected.
It's nice to have someone to hide behind every now and then when things go south.
Strong-willed from the get-go and very family-oriented.
But also eager to take responsibility.
Foster wonders if Iyonzu would let people just take care of him, and he tries his best to do so.
