I got some devastating news about my cat, Nuts. Her kidneys are failing and I don't know how much longer she'll be with me. She's fifteen years old so she's lived a long life and hopefully a good one. I've been in a bit of a funk since finding out and things are just a lot more difficult to get through. I'm hoping she gets to hit her sweet sixteen in September but from the way the vet talked, it doesn't sound like she has a lot of time left. A blood test confirmed that her values are really bad and that further investigation isn't needed since this already shows everything they need to know.
It's just so heavy and I hate the idea that I'll have to decide when her quality of life is no longer comfortable for her and then she'll have to cross that rainbow bridge. I've had her since she was a wee little bean and I know she loves me so much and I love her so much too. It's just hard trying not to grieve the idea of her leaving, when she is right here with me now.

I'm one year closer to 30 (big oof /j). The plan today is to have a coffee with my grandparents and then shoot to an aquarium to celebrate! I'm so excited to see all the fishes!
