Crystal Mountain

Country that holds Melody River, East Neptune, West Neptune, Stratuspoint, Rumio Lake, and Aurora City. Crystal Mountain is one of the first civilizations of Sidus Universum, founded roughly 200 years before the current day, with many of its founders still having tangible, currently living descendants, whose influence varies heavily despite such prestigious ancestry.

The country was founded when mage explorers Opal and Calypso immigrated with 10-20 other mages from Neptune Fields (at this time named Rumio, after the deity most residents of the country then—and, consequently, most of the early residents of Crystal Mountain—worshiped) after finding the constantly hot climate unbearable to live in. They settled in a much cooler city they called Neptune, which is now known as East Neptune, and remains a very highly respected land of heritage to this day, with a plethora of museums related to the growth of the city and Crystal Mountain as a civilization after its founding. Neptune was right next to a range of snowy mountains, which Opal quickly dubbed the Crystal Mountain Range, and this later inspired her to dub the network of connected settlements Crystal Mountain, the name that still survives to this day.

Opal ended up marrying one of the settlers, Sunflower, a fellow canine mage who was fairly well-known among citizens of Rumio and the early settlers of Crystal Mountain for the myriad of tea leaves that grew around his head and neck, as well as his tail. Sunflower used the leaves to make tea for the settlers on their trek to modern-day Crystal Mountain, and later opened a restaurant with Opal called Sunflower Tea, a business that remains in operation in East Neptune to this day. Sunflower and Opal had many children, and this resulted in many different mixes going forward that are now responsible for a large community of citizens in Crystal Mountain who have fruits, vegetables, or other edible plants grow naturally from their body which they can safely pick and eat, plant, or make food out of.

The weather committee for Crystal Mountain is located in its biggest city and metropolitan area, Melody River, specifically in the Northern Hills area, where much of Crystal Mountain's government buildings are located. It is led in tandem by Head Meteorologist Drift and Vice Meteorologist Misty, both of whom reside in Melody River, though neither of them are natives of the city—Drift is from small town Stratuspoint and came to Melody River in hopes of joining the committee after completing a meteorology course at Stratuspoint's only university, Celestial Heights University; Misty is from West Neptune and went to East Neptune University (in East Neptune, of course) for meteorology as well, but moved to Melody River after being handpicked by Drift, a good friend of hers, to join the committee.
