I just used a canvas with a 1:2 ratio, that’s how you get it to be long enough to stretch across the whole thing. Then in the folder description, I uploaded said image just using the little image icon in the text editor thingy. After you put the image in, click on it and there’ll be a menu at the bottom where you can add a link. Just put the link of the folder you want it to open. So my “primary“ folder, the one with crystal on it, is linked to that folder (https://toyhou.se/cryx/characters/folder:3579079)
also, don’t put any characters in that folder! Make sub folders and put them there :D

hey cryx! just wondering, do you make sticker outlines automatically on procreate or do you draw them by hand? :D
I draw them!! I make a layer below and use the 'monoline' brush from calligraphy :D then I just trace around it
ohh! that's so cool,, your sticker outlines are really neat, tidy and draw out the characters' best features :0 i love them
whenever i tried to do them with that method the lines just crumple up and die sksjdsjkdf
would you like to know another faster way of doing sticker outlines? it only takes around 20-30 seconds to do, and it's completely automatic, no tracing of the outlines required :D

I’d transfer the world ownership to you and you can do anything u want!! Like start running it and get new staff to help you (it’s really hard by yourself).
so basically you’d have control over the whole species, meaning you can issue myos, make adopts, host starbie events, appoint world staff, etc!! There’s also a TH account starbies that you could use, I was in the process of moving the masterlist over there

up until recently, I would use the studio pen brush from inking for everything!! Lineart, color, coloring the lineart, shading, etc. an example of what that looks like is here!
I like the studio pen because it is excellent at tapering and easy to control with the Apple Pencil. It makes smoother lines
Although lately I’ve been experimenting with different brush styles, and now I use Narinder pencil from the sketching section for my lineart. I still color and shade with the studio pen, which is still my all-time favorite and go-to brush :D
side not- I actually duplicated narinder pencil and made a few tweaks, I just changed the pressure taper aspect to give me tapered tips. (Before it was blunt)

i started using narinder pencil because I like the ‘sketchy’ kinda style the brush has. After changing the taper, it has as much control as the studio pen, but with a different grain. I use this because I wanted my art to look softer than it was with the studio pen. Sometimes, I duplicate the lineart and Gaussian blur it just a tad, then turn the opacity down to like 30. This gives it an even nicer soft effect :D
Some other brushes I use:
- monoline from calligraphy: i use this to make the white ‘sticker’ outlines
- soft airbrush from airbrushing: this one is helpful for shading and laying out a color to tint the whole drawing
- and I have a few custom brushes that are a checkered and buffalo check pattern- I use them for bandanas or accessories that have checkered patterns so I don’t have to draw each square. (If you want these I can send them)

Honestly?? I just fake it till I make it 😂 when I sketch something out, I only draw like a circle for the head but I don’t do circles for the chest/rump like you’re supposed to… idk I’ve just always done it that way. It’s probably not the best way because I often erase like an entire limb and redraw it like 50 bajillion times dfshgdj here’s a Speedpaint I did and you can see how I just. Made it up lol I kinda?? know what I’m doing by now :’) I also struggle with more complex poses because I don’t really understand anatomy hehe, I just think “oh that paw is too big,” or “th body shouldn’t be that long” And then I fix it… I also have cats at my house that I stare at sometimes, but my style isn’t at all realistic. :D

another great artist is https://www.deviantart.com/riverspirit456 who was like my first inspo ever !! her style is very realistic and her anatomy is spot on, I’d recommend watching some her YouTube speedapints (same user) bc you can really see her process there and it helped me a bunch!
