My absolute favorite closed species and worldbuilding project, Devomas, is having an anniversary event! Pairing together with the species owner, Lyroa’s, clownish energy, they opened two years ago on April Fools Day. Now, not only am I a huge fan of the official adopts Lyroa, Sashetha, and guest artist Omen put out (we stan big pecs and big pretty gworls), but they’re also super nice and raffle off adopts every often! I’m even going to raffle an adopt I accidentally bought off soon too because I love the giving nature of the species.
The devomas themselves have SO MUCH LORE so if you’re like me, you’ll curl up on the website for hours reading about everything and getting all sorts of ideas. There’s weird wacky religion, entire planets with lore, many other species (some of which will be available for MYOs soon), and sick angry mechas! My personal favorite piece of lore is that wurthans, the tree hugging orc people that I headcanon with German accents, don’t allow other species near their holy tree after a movie came out with another species becoming that tree’s bestie. Your first designed devoma by you is actually free and many more free slots are constantly being found~
Overall, it’s just a lovely species that has my whole heart. I love sick designs, but I’m rabid for lore and Lyroa’s been developing this lore for literal YEARSSSS! It’s like a second family at this point and, even though the server and species keep growing, the mods are sure to keep the core values and feelings of safety intact. Heya I thought you guys would like this event going on!! I know Cheshire mentioned the species a bit to us on discord but I needed souls to tag for the event and you guys seemed a bit on the fence so it’s like extra energy given to you to make one!! The body horror element is 10/10 plus some interesting lore potential and I genuinely can’t wait to see if you guys fully join or not!
