Royce wants to do whatever he can to help ensure the best possible outcome for Ahn among others. Ideally he'll find a way back to their own time line.
Arm has learned a lot over nearly two centuries of loneliness. He misses Ahn and Redeye both tremendously, and struggles not to interfere with the versions of them he comes across as the late 23rd century rolls around again. In versions where he reunites with a ghoul version of Ahn, he finally owns up to his feelings for her.
Jace is attractive. And smart. Which makes him more attractive. Too bad Jace doesn't seem terribly interested in flirting back at Royce.
Peaches adores Lani for her geniality but wonders sometimes if running is something she's really cut out for. If he had to accept anyone into the quiet peaceful life he'd like to have, however, it'd be her.
Spending time with Ink is a little like spending time with a sibling for Leo. She's supposed to be the rash one making poor decisions but sometimes it feels like Ink is giving Leo a run for her money. That said, the bond is fierce none the less and there's very little Leo wouldn't do for Ink.
To say the entire Delkaze family is attractive would be an understatement. Royce enjoys flirting with Maria as much as any of the others and does so sincerely as well as simply to flatter and charm the mother.
Jacob has been a long standing family friend who the Martins would visit on occasional trips back to Appalachia. Royce accepts Jacob as a distant relative or acquaintance, but the two have never been terribly close. He's mostly happy to tease Leo about her relationship with Jacob.
Royce would climb this man if it didn't seem like Redeye called dibs.
If he's going to flirt with Maria, it's only fair to balance things out by flirting with Shane, too.
Leo always enjoyed the family trips to visit Jacob in Appalachia both for the expansive open space to play in and for the sheer amount of stories and history he could share with her. By the time she was a young adult, she realized she would behave like an awkward giddy teenager around him, shy and embarrassed to offer him simple gifts of affection. The two have settled into a comfortable presence with each other with little definition but a certain closeness. She's grateful he tolerates the messes she leaves behind and that he respects her independent lifestyle.
The two met when he came into her family's bookstore but it turned out he was good friends with her bestie's siblings. When the two get engaged, she agrees to move back to Montana with him. Having arrived in Hope County ahead of Jacob, she's separated from him when things with the cult turn violent. Initially she's hopeful they'll reunite, but that hope is dashed. Nearly 20 years later, she's terrified of revealing herself to him and facing the possibility that he's moved on or would no longer love her.
Initially the two butt heads with each other. Perhaps not aggressively, but Jacob is blunt in his thoughts about Roy's attitude or behavior and Roy doesn't always appreciate it. The man's judgement just puts salt in the wound when Roy is already aware of his own shortcomings. As the two struggle to survive in the wasteland however, Roy comes to not only tolerate Jacob but to trust him. By the time Jacob shows signs of ghoulification, Roy is ready to support him even if he doesn't know what will happen.
While they started off contentious, Royce came to enjoy their competitive flirting. When it started taking a turn toward something more, he feared he couldn't be the sort of person or man that Aliana wanted or needed. He distanced himself from her but felt pulled in yet again. He loves her even if he hasn't said it just yet. There's no one he could trust more.
Familiar with each other as kids, Royce didn't have much to think of Ahn when they came across each other again as adults. She was attractive enough however that he was more than happy to have a one night stand with her and steal the Platinum Chip from her belongings. From there, the two went from enemies to frenemies to lovers. With how many bizarre and life threatening experiences they've shared in the Mojave, he knows no one else could have his back like she does. And he wants nothing more than to wake up with her every morning.
There are very few in life Royce would openly admit to caring for. He will be openly, genuinely affectionate with Malik, giving him treats and pets. While Royce is often satisfied with designating others to provide most of the care taking for the gatorclaws, he will step up to the plate himself when it comes to Malik. He is his pride and joy.
Being an otherwise wild animal, Malik only has so much in the way of feelings. He does recognize Royce as a source of food and positive attention at least. He is fond of resting his chin on Royce's head, expecting pets or brushing.
Full stop, Skeeter sees Anthe as a unique individual and not the Shay they knew and loved. It's bittersweet to see Anthe and their resemblance to Shay, but ultimately Skeeter would rather avoid the heartache and have Anthe leaves them alone.
Anthe recognizes their feelings for Skeeter as those of Shay, though it's difficult to determine if they're programmed or nebulous remnants. As an individual, Anthe values Skeeter's insight and advice. They appreciate Skeeter's advocacy for their independence even if it comes in part from a source of hurt.
