Hi everyone! My mom's birthday is around the corner and after the rough year we had i want to gift her something special... i'll put a little tldr after the link for those who are interested and want a follow up since alot helped with my dad's funds last year!
tldr:
My dad was diagnosed with cancer last June around the time of my mom's birthday, since then she took care relentlessly of him to the point that she lost alot of weight because she didn't cared for herself. They've been together for 25 years and i arranged for them to be wed on his death bed as it was his dying wish... my dad passed away 3 days after that, happy. My mom on the downside was wed and widowed on the same week it was harsh on her mental.
He passed away last december, 3 days after their wedding.
We had to deal with my grandma whom my mom took care of at the same time and most importantly: my dad's kids (previous marriage 50+ years ago). They have been the WORST. For 25 years they mistreated me and my mom when we weren't even responsible of their parent's divorce (my mom came into the picture 10 years after their parents divorce) and when my dad was dying no one helped... I had to resort to donations to pay for my dad's operation and care (thanks again to everyone who helped).
As soon as he died they took all of his belongings and even his ashes from my mom, she paid fully for his funeral and couldn't even touch her husband's urn. Since then they torture her psychologically in different ways like:
threw the flowers we sent on his grave as he was burried with his brother in north france, were's in south.
asked to investigate their bank accounts accusing her of stealing money when everything was used to pay his chemio and they didn't spare a cent for him (spoilers we always have been poor, nothing to see lmao).
took his clothings and photos, not even leaving one of his favorites shirts to my mom.
made a scene on his cremation day because his own friends were there grieving (how dare they love my father??).
and so much more... we were robbed of our grief by them.
My mom is still dealing with their mischief and taking care of my grandma and me (as i'm autistic and have a shitty health i'm not idependant) so i'd like to gift her a relaxation day after all she went through this year and still continuing.
That's why i've set a goal for her birthday, as my health isn't as good i'm trying to do adopts to raise myself her birthday fund but it's hard, if any generous soul wants to throw a ko-fi in our way i'd be thankful!
I'll make her a birthday card with birthday wishes so if you want to throw a encouragement word for her feel free to, she'd be happy to read it
