The Cursed Shire

Few speak of the Cursed Shire by name, in fact, few even know of it's existence as it is not listed on most maps. There are rumors of its existence though. Rumors spread that the inhuman flock there to live in peace. Other rumors say that humans who go there to visit or live become inhuman before long due to the chaotic magic of a Hag that is said to reside in the forest the town sits at the outskirts of. The rumors have a few things correct - a Hag does live in the forest outside the town, and the town is home primarily to those who lack human ancestry. To the citizens of this cursed land, their town is named Falka. It is a poor town filled with dejected, beaten people, besieged on one side by an ancient Hag that thrives off of their suffering and a Kingdom that abducts it's citizens for their own pleasure and amusement.
