Huoyan is greatly bitter towards Romy. Romy is reaching new heights in her career while Huoyan has been banished. Living off of her best friend's crumbs. And of course, Romy knows this and uses it to her advantage. Their friendship is greatly superficial, to the point it is toxic and Huoyan is on the verge of cutting her off. But the only thing holding her back is the easy access to luxury through this demon of Pride. So she bites her tongue if it means collecting the crumbs of Romy's riches.
Huoyan is both a nostalgic presence as well as a constant glaring reminder that if she was to step out of line or fail, exile and desperation in mortality awaits her. Romy tries to maintain the friendship, despite her handlers advising against associating with an exiled demon. But her station is close to Huoyan's residence, and there's no better charity to give away her once-used clothes and PR packages to than her down and out bestie. She is aware she is being basically used by Huoyan, for her materialistic riches and frivolous and fabulous outings. But in the grand scheme of things, she couldn't care less.
Incredibly Fearful of Zhornitza. Huoyan "stole" Zhornitza's coin purse after an odd phenomenon of displaced wallets appearing everywhere as a circumstance of the hag's presence. For this insolence and theft, Zhornitza placed a curse on Huoyan to be "caught red-handed" when she is in possession of something that does not belong to her. In other words, no glamours to hide her true demon form if she has stolen something. This set off a chain of events that led to multiple people getting cursed, including lycanthropy on her boss.
Zhornitza views demons to be wretches of the underworld. Although a necessary evil, she loathes they lurk above on the surface. They are pests to her. And the insolence of Huoyan in particular, she is harsh to. She was keen to cursing her after her coin purse was in Huoyan's clutches. But, like the pest that she is, she has infested herself amongst a group of seemingly decent mortals who end up being rather vocal about their displeasure with her dispensing of curses.
Clow and Dawn are both of Orcish descent. Takes advantage of her lack of intelligence and general acceptance of any and all excuses he gives her for his thievery. Thinks she's the cutest girl of the group. His shameless attempts to flirt with her don't go well for him though.
Dawn undoubtedly has an unspoken allyship with Clow due to their Orc Blood. She denies he could do no wrong because Evil Orc is a stereotype and it must be squashed. Not to mention he's "her buddy." Her buddy wouldn't steal. That's wrong! He takes advantage of it but she is too dumb to notice. He attempts to flirt with her is weird and a little greasy, which irks her. No Thanks. He could be her 15th cousin twice removed for all she knew, seeing as how her Orc ancestry is a bit vast and muddled.
