Kalmitia Meadows

A wide expanse of grasslands that expands down from the western mountains on the Isle of Kailano.  The far eastern side of the prairie drops off into sheer cliffs that fall into the ocean, while the rest are surrounded by the mountain ranges.  It is characterized by the distinctive volcanic formations jutting out of the ground, covered in thick grasses and sparse, thin pines and flexible willows spotting the landscape here and there.  This hidden gem of the island is very hard to navigate to, and there is only one way in and one way out; a narrow passage has been cut through the Rusolno Mountains to provide a trail into this beautiful preserve.  It is rumored that there is more to this grassland than meet the eye and more than one traveler has met their end trying to uncover its secrets.
