BACKSTORY
UNDERTALE CANON
Born not long after monsters were driven underground, Asriel had a happy and cozy childhood until Chara fell into Mt Ebott when he was 8. He and Chara were fiercely close and protective of each other, and Asriel was quite happy, aside from his struggle to help his sibling's trauma. He was eager to free monsterkind with his best friend, but wasn't prepared for the hatred they faced from humanity. After death and being reborn as Flowey, Asriel's consciousness slowly became dormant, until awakened once more by SOUL power
