Hi guys!!

I wanted to give a quick update here on my general commission process and progress for the next upcoming months.

I've returned to the US to continue studying (after taking a break the past half year) and my semester is back in full swing!
That means I'm juggling school projects and commissions at the same time, but I also have a big Bachlor of Fine Arts application coming up in the next 2 months: meaning that I'm in the middle of prepping a portfolio to apply to the program with at my school. The Graphic Design program I'm aiming for is quite competitive and only accepts ~25 students each semester and always gets a lot of applicants, so I'm really trying to buckle down and set up a portfolio that can get me into the program.

That being said, since I need to prioritize my work for the portfolio and school overall, I have to cut back to only taking 2 commission orders every month. At least until I have submitted that dang portfolio   
Right now that means that I can't get to everyone on my ping list immediately, but I check with those that I have postponed once before first and then contact everyone else.
I will always contact you no matter what though, if you're on my ping list, you'll get an update message at the beginning of every month for sure!

As always, I wanna send the biggest thank you to everyone who supports me here, especially all you guys who are returning customers because that's just crazy to me   it means the world to me that you're so interested in my art and willing to work with me!
And also commissions have been paying my rent the past 2 years so asjdfh I really am immensely thankful to all of you!

Hoping to pick up more commissions again come April-ish (unless school work buries me) and especially focus on comms and adopts more again once summer break hits!!

This little floral alien parasite has just recently discovered the joy of gardening!
They're doing it right, right? (Don't mind the hand ..)
They're just trying to learn!

A plant-/flower-type parasite from a distant planet that only recently landed on earth and has assumed a human form to blend in.
Well, as much as they can blend in with that big flower on their head.
The big flower and all the small ones strewn across their "clothes" are actually part of the rooted plant growth piloting the humanoid disguise from the inside!

I only just had time to read through all the feedback and I appreciate all you guys' input so much!!
Especially the advice on how to navigate the current adopt scene here and what I've been doing so far!

I'll definitely keep posting little preview sneak peeks ahead of the actual reveal for future adoptable designs as well!
Also maybe considering to show silhouettes of the design alongside the cropped full-color previews? It seems fun!

I also think I'll stick to flatsales and possibly OTAs for now!
I think OTAs would maybe give those who prefer auction-style sales a shot since they would be available for a longer time than fcfs flatsales!

I'll probably come back to you all with some more design questions or polls in the future!

I've kinda been out of the general adopt scene for so long (aside from doing custom designs) and feel like I'm stumbling around Toyhouse not really knowing what the current "norms" or preferences are of everyone in regards to adoptable designs, so I figured I'd ask you guys? I'd love to get some feedback! All kinds is welcome!

Mostly right now I'm trying to figure out how you all prefer to have adoptables posted?

What methods do you guys prefer? Auctions, OTAs, Raffle Sales, Flatsales, First-Come-First-Serve or even others??

I will have to prioritize $$$ payment for my designs over character/design/art trades for them since art is my main source of income and I support myself through this, but otherwise I would really love to hear your guys' thoughts!

I'd love to try and actually post more adopt designs in the future if I can figure all this stuff out on here haha
Also will probably ask you guys some more questions about design preferences, aesthetics and such sometime as well   

If anyone would like to give me a crash course to design posting on Toyhouse or you'd like to share your thoughts with me, please do!!
