hello everyone! longtime no see, i've been really busy getting some stuff thrown together for CALYPSO and i'm happy to say there are some major projects in the works right now! this update will detail some more information and important updates!

NAME CHANGE

i've decided to change CALYPSO'S name to "THE CALYPSO PROJECT" for a multitude of reasons. mostly due to the fact there are going to be several stories/arcs involved in the series, i figured it would be better to call it a project of sorts. personally, i'll still be calling it CALYPSO, but i wanted to give it an official title!

ARC 0 - OGYGIA - RELEASE DATE!

now, i know i've mostly mentioned things about arc 1 regarding CALYPSO. but... what if i told you there's another super duper secret project in the works?? surprise! it's an ARG! this was sort of a last minute addition to the CALYPSO series, but i've always wanted to do some kinda ARG with these guys and i figured this would be the best time to do that! a teaser trailer for the project has been uploaded on my youtube with a release date at the end of it! what is it going to involve? you'll find out when the time comes! check out the teaser trailer here!

and finally, regarding the visual novel itself of THE CALYPSO PROJECT, i can say the story itself (writing wise) is on the absolute tail end of being completed right now! i've already started to put together some of the GUI designs and some other mechanics in the game too, so expect some news about that to roll around in the next few months!

hello everyone! it's been awhile since i've made a post here, but this is a pretty big update! it will mostly consist of what's happening with F8TE and CALYPSO, character purge announcement, and personal updates!

so, some of you might've noticed already that my toyhouse looks, well, pretty empty... that's because i've done a massive purge on ocs, more particularly at any character that was in F8TE. this was a conscious decision and i've been thinking about doing it for a long time. and that begs the question; what's going on with F8TE? i know a few people here and there have subscribed to me for updates regarding it, or to at least see where the story progresses, so this is the final decision about it here:

F8TE, in its entirety, has been completely canceled and just about 95% of whatever was going on with it has been ultimately ret-conned. since it's creation in 2018, i've been struggling to write it and create a storyline that isn't entirely convoluted and confusing. it didn't help that i was also going to make CALYPSO also connect with it in some form. so, while i was working on CALYPSO, i'd also have to be aware of F8TE'S (barely put together) universe in order to have everything connect. while writing it i was quite literally having the saying of "immovable object meets an unstoppable force," so i was not getting ANYWHERE regarding both of them. obviously, this wasn't panning out very well for me and made the workload of making CALYPSO even more difficult and even more challenging. i realized over time, i was never going to be able to write/finish CALYPSO without having to finish F8TE first, which was also a challenge within itself. 

ultimately, i've decided to scrap the story and will (hopefully) be able to return to it anew once CALYPSO is just about fully up and running. no worries though; jonah and riley are the two characters i am keeping from it (and a few more that will possibly make a return in the rebranded version of it). as of right now though, F8TE is something that will ultimately be worked on after the progression of CALYPSO has begun.

regarding CALYPSO's current progression:

on the brighter side, regarding news of CALYPSO; after reworking the story multiple times, i'm getting around to making an outline! eventually, i will post a summary on their folder detailing what the story is about! i'm excited to share more of that in the future it's a project that's meant a lot to me and i am so looking forward to talking about it more LOL

the last update before i get onto the 'purge;' i am changing usernames eventually on all other social media and here as well. while it's been a fun time having the username ryuji [stares at persona 5] i'm no longer deeply invested in that media and would like to have my username here reflect that on other social media accounts i have. a new post will be made once that happens! there's also a chance i might switch from my current handle of "newcomputers_" to something else! once again, an announcement regarding that will happen eventually <:-)

all characters listed here sakoto on my alternative TY account are now fully up for offers of any kind. some characters are freebies due to me getting them through art games, everyone else is offers only. i'm not going to tag anyone as a freebie quite yet, i want to see if anyone here is interested in them! comment on their page with what you want to offer, or if you're interested in taking one of the freebies!
