Calvin McKinley-Solano is the child of the god of the Earth, and this truth has come back to bite him during his new life in Pennan, Scotland. Along with unraveling the tricky relationship with his father, he also holds some uncanny hatred against a local oddball that he feels he must resolve, and struggles with identifying what it means to be human. As strange as these situations are, Cal fears that he himself may prove to be stranger than anything he could have expected to encounter.
