Legacy of a Star

These characters are from my upcoming Sci-Fi/Fantasy Story about Space Pirates! (Note that this is still a WIP so some information might end up changing.) It takes place in an alternate version of our universe where space travel is common and there is life on various planets found in different star systems.

The story begins with Gamma and Lyra, two orphans who were raised in captivity among many other humans used for scientific experimentation. One day, they are rescued by a band of space pirates led by the notorious captain Altair. Since they no longer have a place in the world, Altair agrees to let them stay on his ship, but they soon discover the life of a pirate is full of many dangers.
