for the authorization thing, you can have settings (mostly helpful for images) where you can give public users different limits than authorized users. So lets say if I wanted to have all my images watermarked but I want to have certain people be able to view it without watermarks, you can change the settings for that and give the authorized people the watermark-free experience! and so on, ya
