An isolated dynasty of cats said to have descended from a faerie-like creature many generations ago. They distrust outsiders, feline or human, and defend their territory viciously. Their royal family holds two carved daggers which were supposedly given to them by their first queen, the changeling who began their dynasty. The weight that is settled upon the cats of their noble families is that of choice; While she-cats are the only ones who continue a line's existence, for any kittens born to a queen are considered of her family line, toms hold the responsibility of social climbing, as the standing of any branch of their dynasty depends upon how closely related they are to the current Empress.

The dynasty occassionally finds lost or forgotten branches of their wide and sprawling family, and each time they, of course, bring these wayward felines back into the fold. Often, these new cats become the object of much attention, as they bring new, strong blood into the families of whomever they mate with.
