hi minnow. i was going to harass you about making a character that i can sexualize in good conscience, but then i stopped and began to think. about how strange our interactions must look to an outsider. they don’t see me, they don’t know my face. they only see the beady, factory-embroidered eyes of a misumi ikaruga plush toy staring forward while saying strange, confusing things. they stare into those eyes, searching for an answer. and the eyes respond with more questions. each stitch, hammered into the fabric by a machine-operated sewing needle, seems to ask, “does it hurt? does it hurt to be alive in such a dull world? is that why you make OCs? to escape the crushing weight of reality? you really wish you were just a little elf boy, don’t you?” it’s cold here, it’s dark here, you realize. nobody has cat ears, or ice powers, and most don’t have a found family. you look around, and the world feels hollow. and the whole time, misumi’s soulless eyes stare back.
