Hello, it is I! Your favorite character of all time. In the month of terror, our dear author has given me the reigns of this account. Well, it's more like I found their laptop open and this was here. But I'm pretty sure that counts as the same thing.

Have you ever heard about alternate universes? Many people believe in their existence. Another universe similar yet different that allows for a set of circumstances to be adjusted as far as the imagination dictates. As it turns out, our dear author has been engaging quite a bit of imagination while talking with their friends. So much I'd consider it slacking. I believe the lack of diligence requires some punishing. And what's a trick without a treat?

Thusly, I've gone through months of chat logs to procure only the most proper of aus from their conversations. Not because I'm amused by their pathetic sentiments for their companions, mind you. That'd be silly.

All of the documents below are assembled from chat logs, and thus aren't of proper writing quality. Casual swearing is abound. In addition, they cover many sensitive topics. Do mind the warnings below and express caution when choosing which documents will entertain your night most. When I can sneak back in more documents may be added to the list, and I'll note any updates as well. Most of these stories are incomplete or awaiting events in canon to continue without spoilers.

Monster Boyfriend AU
The first AU ever conceived, credit goes to met for the concept. Origin of the "Kei is mothman" meme as well. It's really gay and includes cryptids so what are you waiting for? Will be updated after a certain point in the story.
This AU contains: gay monsters, otherwise it's largely harmless

Deity AU
A short AU pondering of how the various kids would be as gods within a generic fantasy setting.
This AU contains: Usana, unfortunately. However there is a satisfactory amount of Shi content, as it should be.

Villain AU
Edgy villain AU in which all of the kids beside Touma join Shi as "villains" and Touma must confront them. May or may not be updated upon the completion of arc 2. Does not include Saeko or any other characters past her reveal.
This AU contains: Slurs, suicide, general violence + teen angst. This isn't for everyone.

Angels and Demons AU
By far the largest and most comprehensive AU. Might actually be a good starting point for some original work later on? Takes place in a fantasy setting in which angels and demons are just fantasy races with varying religions/politics to spice stuff up. Will probably get more updates as time goes on but for now look to the additions below for specific characters outside of the main party.
This AU contains: A ridiculous amount of maiming, sexual themes, lots of war/murder. Also many gross societal implications because angels suck

Angels and Demon AU: Shi Edition
At the time of writing this, Shi wasn't revealed so it's in a separate document. Continues to build on the previously established world, so you should read the first document before this one for a proper understanding.
This AU contains: More maiming, altogether too much murder, and the best character, Shi. Also lots of gross societal implications.

Angels and Demons AU: J Edition
This character hasn't even shown up in canon yet so their name is censored.
This AU contains: A disappointing amount of maiming and the worst character by far. Also, pure rage.

Another Monster AU
Humans become monsters when they feel one emotion far too strongly, often the negative kinds. This one just got recovered from being completely lost to old logs and only met has seen it.
This AU contains: Pretty heavy themes of bullying/isolation. However it will also melt your heart into a puddle at certain parts and also is hilarious.

Vampire AU
An AU where Touma just randomly becomes a vampire and chaos ensues because he's terrible at hiding it. It ramps up fast.
This AU contains: Blood, blood everywhere. And feelings.

Soulmate AU
A bit of a deconstruction of the soulmate AU concept. Takes place in a fantasy setting where people are assigned soulmates at their coming of age via the colors of their "souls".
This AU contains: Color theory, Hibiki isolating herself persistently, and psychics. Psychics are still fantasy right

Fantasy AU
Generic fantasy AU where each of the kids comes into contact with extremely powerful relics that grant them interesting powers. Also, Minus Label is a tiny robo bard and that's invaluable.
This AU contains: An alarming amount of D&D inspired stuff and a robot son to behold

Ninja AU
Based largely on "I'm a Female Ninja but I Want to Love", it's a cute AU with some heavily fictionalized notions of ninjas. It features an unrevealed character who goes under a pseudonym.
This AU contains: Exactly zero historical accuracies about how ninjas worked, amazing sword fights in your imagination

Yuuto Monster AU [NEW]
This one was hidden for awhile until more details about Yuuto's backstory/character came out. Edgy AU where Yuuto suddenly gains monster-like abilities and does stuff with them. Monstery things. Completed!
This AU contains: A good son doing bad things, Shi is also there, psychological horror elements

Boarding School AU [NEW]
Short AU pondering how the story might've changed in an American setting. May be eventually continued with prompting [winks excessively at the camera]
This AU contains: Not really that much content, could definitely be expanded on

High School AU [NEW]
A very short, but more traditional young adult take on the kids in a stereotypical high school setting. There's drama. Definitely needs to be continued at some point in time because there's a lot of potential
This AU contains: Exactly one death, and alternate American names for the kids

Royalty AU [NEW]
An AU where Hibiki is a princess living a double life and Touma meets her alternate persona. Things escalate from there and there's plenty of silly royal drama. It's pretty long and should eventually be continued.
This AU contains: Way too much unnecessary moping, flower arranging, and Yuuto being very tired
