Feronia's Forest is a place that Tsuren knows he should avoid. It's too close to Nexus, too close to corruption; the darkness that hides within would bring him nothing but pain, and yet...the parts of the forest that still stand untouched are nearly irresistible.

The darkness of the forest hangs thick within the air as Henry drags his finger though the dirt, careful movements of exact precision marking the ground with the symbols he has committed to memory. It's late, the demanding pull of sleep lapping at the edge of Henry's mind, yet he pushes the calling aside. He can't give up now. He's come too far, fought too hard- he is going to complete this ritual tonight. Even if it kills him.

Mild Violence

Mention of guns and drinking. He also falls on some glass.

"Do you ever think about running away?"

A hushed whisper into stagnant night air brings Isaac out of his thoughts, the grass he had been tugging at finally breaking free from the ground. He crumples it into a tiny ball, turning to find Samael staring at him, his gray eyes nearly black in the darkness of the forest. He takes a moment to mull over his response before speaking.

"Do you know what that's like, Lin? To betray the only people that you have left? To be forced to help kill the closest thing you have left to family?" Nate grounds out, his hands bunched up into tight fists beside him, nails digging tightly into his flesh. Lin won't look at him, his face is tilted away towards the wall, but even without seeing him, Nate knows he is crying.

"I should hate you." Nate whispers, the tears staining his cheeks now working to wet Lin's shirt as he presses himself even closer, flush against his friend-turned-enemies' chest. His hands are balled tightly into the fabric, a silent plea to stay as he forces a laugh, a delirious sound that almost ends in a hiccup. "God, I should despise you."

Warmth crept through Sheer's body as she stretched out upon her sunning rock, the sunlight peeking through the canopy of rainforest trees causing her scales to glimmer like freshly fallen snow.

Today was a lazy day, but that didn't mean she didn't have work to do.

Shore could feel his cheeks turn warm, as though the sun were shining directly on him, and he ducked his head. "Thank you." He mumbled, shifting. He went to put the scroll he was still hugging to his chest down only to find he had to peel it off, eyes going wide with horror.

The ink had still been wet.
