Adding aliens to a gritty crime drama really subverts the audiences expectations. It provides an experience thats more engaging than another boring murder mystery
But unfortunately people weren’t a fan of the changes the studio made so this masterpiece of a film was wrongfully hated on with some people even begging the studio to release the original cut
I mean really guys? If a studios going to make changes to a movie then obviously they had a reason to and we should just trust that the movies going to be better for it
The original murder files would have been waaay worse
