I just went down a looooooonnnng Elementiiae nostalgia dive and I am feeling so many emotions. Seeing my art quality change and evolve throughout the group's life span, revisiting events and general group artwork. I downloaded all the characters I had and realized there are some I was much more attached to than others. It's a shame that the majority of the really cool features were interlinked to the group having the "super group" paid status and the old dA layout... I miss the old inventory journals layout which had a separate HTML hover to show currency additions.

i miss the elementiiae days sooooo much AHHHH it was such a fun concept and the different features and activities we had were so well done 😭😭😭😭 i lowkey wish we could revive it though i know the cs scene has changed so much since those days! i totally agree with you RE: the supergroup stuff, that made it feel extra special and jenn did amazing with all the css. and i specifically remember really liking all the npcs… constellaetion, nurse, and yellow will never be forgotten <3 i remember how cool it was to be on the design team with you, spasha, aria, jenn, and reed especially when suddenly everyone’s characters were having hybrid kids and we were unveiling all the new species lol. that was such a formative time for me as an artist and it’s so cool and beautiful to see how many of us have grown since then :”~D jenn reached out to me on ig and told me you two had connected which made me so happy to see!! i’ve followed her work there for a while and it’s been so cool to see her flourish too! (or should i say FLORIIsh ba dum tsss)
you inspired me to go back through my old elementiiae characters too and i realized i only ever uploaded about half of them (😳) so i went ahead and fixed that, and added some of your characters to images on mine where applicable (though i know there are some duplicate images between the two of us, but i figured maybe the older ones would be better to loop you in on 😅) if i forgot any definitely feel free to add characters in! <3333
Going through and reuploading all those characters and their art was quite the journey ;; v ;; I was realizing "dang! I had so many Pepe designs!!" I was blessed for beautiful characters from you!!! xD Apologies for the creator credit avalanche - thanks for confirming those.
I was SO FULL of nostalgia and bliss revisiting the DeviantART page and combing through the journals, gallery and old events. I had forgotten that we used to offer two different tasks a month. On top of that there were the seasonal events and AVA maaaaannnn!! We had so much fun! And you're totally right!! The group's NPCs were really endearing. I drew Toby so much, you'd think they were my own character. I was also reminded just how many members I used to interact with who I just lost contact with when the group shuttered and dA went through its Eclipse transition. I feel really sad about those lost friendships and wish I could reconnect with more of those old group members. I was so happy when I found Jenn's portfolio website and figured I might as well try to send an email. I figured the worst that could happen was not getting a reply - so I was really happy to see she'd seen it ;; v ;; I love seeing our old friends succeeding!!
I won't lie, the idea of reviving the group with a rebalanced pet acquisition system and expansion of hybrid types using a custom Lore Keeper website would be cool as heck. I suppose part of that would be chasing the way the staff team operated and the good times we had back then. The idea of getting the gang back together makes me smile but I know it's unlikely to ever happen. Still fun to think about though! I look back at my older designs as well and I just think "wow, I have come so far since then, I wish I could design some new pets on those old bases to see what it would be like." Like if only I could go back in time and give my younger self Sai or CSP instead of the super old version of Photoshop I was using -- WHICH DIDN'T EVEN HAVE STABLIZERS ;; A ;; Honestly how did I survive back then without brush stabilizer settings xD it's a mystery!
Plus, I can draw my characters whenever I like :) I drew Percival and Solaris again and it scratched that itch. I love these guys so much. AND THANK YOU for the image character additions -- there were some that I didn't have since Spashai wiped her profile. I had forgotten about the staff pets and baby hybrids illustrations!
