Animated Instruments
TDLR #1; don't get mad at animators for not making sure they spent more time than it's worth animating the way instruments are played to the audio.
Whenever I go onto youtube, there are always these videos like "pianos are never animated properly" or "guitars" etcetc. It's basically saying how the notes are never right when an animated character plays an instrument, and what they actually played, that kind of stuff.
and whilst I haven't done a ton of animating in my time, the few times I have done animation its taken a super long time. and I know for a fact that if I'm gonna animate an instrument, I don't really care if I get the notes right so long as my character is hitting the strings/keys/etc when the audio is. and like, a lot of these videos are on older cartoons, you know,, the ones that were drawings done by hand and were not digital at all.
it doesn't matter that they didn't spend extra hours (maybe even days) obsessing over the keys and shit just for you. most people don't know and/or literally do not care. I just find it disrespectful to bitch at the people who put years of work into these cartoons because they didn't spend their time doing what only you would even notice.
Artists Are Not Robots
TDLR #2; artists have lives too, and get motivation for different things. it might not be what they're supposed to be doing for you, but they're not machines.
Artists are living beings too. They need to sleep, eat, take showers, go outside and smell some roses, they are not bots that draw out art 24/7/365. Also, when you pay for a commission, you're paying for not only the time the artist takes to do said commission, the energy the artist puts into said commission, and the months, years, etc, of experience the artist took to get to where they're at today. And you cannot expect an artist to get your commission done in a day, especially if they have more than one commission to complete.
