ok so since i started... work... stuff's been more hectic than i expected and i want to give a little update:

1. pwyw doobles & exp cheeb commission threads will be retiring.

exp cheebs i haven't been able to get to for the longest time, and with doodles i prefer to do short spontaneous openings in my discord server.
thus, those two threads will be retiring for now and maybe make a return when i have more time and power.

as for compensation for people who i didn't get to in those comm threads, i plan to add a possible discount in the next TH comm opening

2. horror icons & portrait commission threads will be staying,

though i will most likely only do 1-2 slot openings in the future to ensure quicker delivery and less waiting time.
i tend to struggle to keep up with 3+ slots and then i make people wait and thus their monetary situation might change and my payment plans might become void because of it,,
it's a bad solution on both sides and i want to keep deliveries more quick and fair

3. scrimblo commissions will be kept up permanently on vgen.

i don't think i ever publicly announced them here on th but they've been a recurring thing in-discord, they're cheap and fun to do and i want to continue doing them :3 so those are always up unless i get really overwhelmed.

4. so what about the future plans?

first, i want to finish the few prepaid commissions i have left, while also focusing on some adopt batches. then i'm hoping to work towards updating my commission info and doing spontaneous openings of things big and small. if you're interested in that + some raffles and freebies, feel free to join my discord.

i'm not exactly sure how to write a post like this but over the recent weeks i have had a very unpleasant situation with a commissionee and now it's gone into a place that i would have never really imagined.

tl;dr they ignored my questions regarding TOS clarification after i inquired about a clarification on their refund policy because of a personal financial situation (the commission wasn't at the time done past an unapproved sketch phase and i wanted to know how does their TOS stand on unfinished pieces since it only states that they will not refund completed pieces), with them assuming i demand a refund unconditionally and then it later escalating to a paypal dispute after they refused to discuss things with me properly in DMs.

i am only making this bulletin because they started spreading lies about the situation across their social media (i have only learnt because of my friends seeing them), supposedly sharing my name/user with people through DMs as well as threatening legal action towards me in DMs.

i will not be sharing their username publically, however, if you want to see screenshots of my conversation with them and how it actually went, feel free to send me a DM. i will forward a folder with the entire conversation that has happened between us so you can make an informed decision.

for anyone and everyone who ever bids on my adopts, collab or not:

please remember that if you decide to bid/claim/hold a character and after you get asked for payment you suddenly stop replying you're not only ghosting me or the other party i collab with but you're also not letting others, who might be interested in obtaining the character, have a chance at getting it.

i understand that life can be hectic and sudden stuff can come up but there has been an increase of this... promising payments/bidding/claiming and then ghosting. if something pops up and you're suddenly unable to pay, please simply send a message. artists are also humans and we do understand that sometimes sudden life stuff pops up and you might not be able to pay anymore. and if you're not sure of being able to purchase a character, simply don't. there are surely going to be other chances to grab a character as well and you won't be holding up everyone else in the process.

all i ask is please respect other people in the community as well as the artist and simply communicate. it's extremely saddening seeing someone being active 1-2 hours ago and leaving you without any response about payment for over a day despite promising paying/asking for a short hold.

of course i don't mean it with everyone and he majority of people supporting my adopts and sometimes asking for holds always meets their own promised dates but for a few weeks there has been an influx of people doing otherwise. i don't ever want to stop accepting holds because i understand that money can be tight and you might want a character really really badly but please simply respect everyone else involved.

1. please always credit me as the creator of the design. for closed species/redesign, please credit me as the designer.
2. you're allowed to edit minor details about the design as long as you keep the general premise of it. redesigning to the point of the design being unrecogniseable is not allowed.
3. all designs are for personal use only. if you wish to own commercial rights to a design, please contact me about it.
4. "free" designs (a.k.a. obtained through raffle/gift) can only be raffled/gifted away.
5. if you buy/make art for a "free" design, you are allowed to trade/sell it.
6. if you get art for a "free" design in an art trade, you are allowed to only trade it.
7. don't resell the design for more than you bought it for unless there's art commissioned.
8. you can add personal art to value within reason. a.k.a. please don't price doodle shitposts at 50$ per or stuff like that.
9. if for any reason you end up blocking me, please trade the design away asap. i don't want my designs to be owned by people who don't wish to associate with me.
10. if you break any of these rules, i will probably first try to contact you about it and solve the issue. if you refuse to abide by them after that however, you will be put on a public blacklist and thus banned from owning my designs in the future.
