STONECLAN
Named for the numerous and mysterious stone-and-wood structures scattered around the clans' territories, Stoneclan is the only one that dares make use of them despite their instabilities. These cats are seen as inherently stubborn, and the safety from the elements their dens give them grants strong warriors and large kits. Their main prey is rats, crows and mice, and they border Thornclan and Gorgeclan.
THORNCLAN
Thornclan makes its home in a large clearing bordering Stoneclan and Smokeclan, building their nests from wildflowers and dry grasses. The stream that runs through their territory is considered neutral ground (as all cats need to drink), though their leader has been placing larger patrols alongside it as of late- something that makes the other clans nervous. They are considered as sharp as the brambles that overrun their home, with claws twice so. Their prey tends to be mice, birds, squirrels and rabbits.
GORGECLAN
Gorgeclan is unusual compared to the other three- these cats have taken on some subterranian habits, taking thorough advantage of the tunnels that snake through their territories. They never venture very far- the tunnels have collapsed on many cats over time- but the lack of a need to find and keep dry dens makes them rival Stoneclan in size and raw strength. They have many, many territorial disputes- even now, they say another war is brewing between the rival clans as they debate on the ownership of the Snakefields. They border Smokeclan and Stoneclan, and their preferred prey are snakes, moles, rats and the rare bat.
SMOKECLAN
Mysterious to the other clans, Smokeclan makes its home predominantly in the Smokerocks- a rocky field striped with long-unused thunderpaths and smoke billowing out of holes in the ground. Large sections of their territory is unliveable for large animals, and so the warriors here tend to be small and low to the ground. They appear and disappear into the clouds, making up for their lack of strength with the ability to confuse their opponents when on their own territory. They are often made to be scapegoats by the other clans, especially as their smokey scents aren't exactly pleasant. They border Gorgeclan and Thornclan, and their prey is almost entirely rabbits, mice, and rats.
STARCLAN
Clan borders are lost on death- as the belt of stars in the sky are lost to the smokey skies of these four clans, they remember their ancestor's stories well enough to know it's there. Prophecies are not common, but as times change and the twoleg population that surrounds them grow closer, they look upward through the grey more and more...
