oh my gawd this is the third time I'm making one of these bulletin things... I can't believe it

hi. ummm. remember when I said "this year has no choice BUT to be my year" ?  yeah uhh about that.  Since 2025 was a square year here I was thinking it was going to be a perfect year, 2025 ended up being my worst year to date, so much happened in so little time with so many different emotions like (I'm so sorry it might be annoying to hear multiple times if you follow me in other socials too, i promise this is the last time I'll talk about it) I lost both my grandfathers in the same 3 months, my maternal grandpa's death day and my birthday are two and a half weeks away, I'm going to feel so guilty about celebrating my birthday until I ultimately kick the bucket as well. In June I finished HS on 20th and had the goddamn uni exam on the next two days, performed horribly; In July my paternal grandpa passed away and 3 days later they announce the uni exam results (they released it like 4 days early while still freshly grieving I think they just did that to mess with me) and my points were terrible as expected but I still had hope, In August I applied to some low point fields and sTILL GOT REJECTED (and so did many people, and so many of them were people who performed so so much better than me, the system did some real injustice this year) SO here i am preparing for it again. Like I said last year I'll be prioritizing IRL life goals this time again bc I'm now an adult T_T The thing is I was so genuinely excited for '25 and it hurts so much it turned the way it did, being hyped for 2026 feels like I'm high on copium lmaoo. But thanks so much for the people that took the time to color my tree, I have them written out on a little letter that I'll be able to look at through rough patches for motivation! <3 Here's the art overview!

2025 Overview

Looking at it objectively, this year was bad in terms of productivity, I didn't do any big pieces, finished many references, didn't get to do art I wanted to do, but personally I am satisfied. I worked on my weaknesses, took attempts at learning basics seriously (which is something I wish I did in 2023 when I was like "I don't like art anymore :( I wanna give up it looks so bad" and turned myself into learning the fundamentals since character art wasn't giving joy during that time and slowly got myself back on track instead of bitching about it), I learned when to put down projects and stop pushing myself to finish it if it becomes a chore. In short even though I don't have much to show, I am happy with the progress I made with making drawing fun and drawing what made me happy, which is a win tbh! 

LIKE last year I was more productive in writing, though I do wish I had read a bit more.... Just rereading fnaf ain't good for me lmao (LISTEN I DID IT FOR MY NEW STORY--)

2026 Goals

Art

Still lean into the basics for sure. It becomes less of a chore once getting the hang of it and the feeling you get when you apply it on what you actually want to draw is so rewarding.

Using my time more wisely, I can definitely make so much more time to draw if I can manage my schedule more and not doomscroll... be damned instagram.... AND to draw when an idea comes to mind as soon as possible and not procrastinate on it, make it exist first, I did this so much this year and it has led into many regrets lmaO

Animation

Not fretting much  about animation this year, taking it chill. I'll most definitely animate simple pixel gifs and a video once I'm more confident with art. Expect more animations with The Scar Left / The Blinding Light stories this time 'round!

Writing

Write both The Scar Left and The Blinding Light and share it for all!  I was contemplating on and off if I wanted to continue this story or have it fade away from my memory, I thought I was certain it was the latter in 2024, but it never truly left my heart, and I made the decision to bring it back in '25,, I want it to serve as a writing practice because I don't want OLGW to be my first attempt at writing ever. And also because I want to see a project of mine be finished and completed fully, where I can talk about it freely and have it be understandable and not just be rambling it to myself JHGFDGHJK, seek the feeling of finishing a project,, hope I'm making sense? If I work on it Jan-Feb mayBE I can get it finished by April? I SHOULDN'T BE setting a timely goal rn since its mostly ambitious, but the story is ready to be written with only a thing or two needing to be worked on and they aren't anything major, so there's really nothing in the way to stop me from starting to write it! I haven't decided what platform I would post it on, I'm shying a bit away from ao3 because it contains things not really suitable for me... we'll see! 

For OLGW there is a few things I want to update such as,,

• Maybe changing Helmore's name. I got it from a fantasy name generator, I may have rearranged the name a bit to get "Helmore" since I don't remember its been more than half a decade now. LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT The country(? Planet?) Gumball take place is called Elmore. I did not know this (please believe me Gumball ((or most CN shows)) scared the shit out of me as a child and I didn't watch it... I only know its called Elmore because of the thumbnail of a compilation video of clips the show appearing in my recommended, idk how it got there in the first place 😭I audibly gasped when I saw Elmore written thinking "it can't be"... SO yeah in fear of being compared / copyrighted I could change it but I've kinda gotten attached... WHY DIDNT NO ONE TELL ME ABT THIS I'M SO EMBERASSED... all these years people could have been thinking "whys this fool copying gumball smh" nnOOOOOOOO 

• I mayyyyyy get rid of Chloe in the story, she was only there bc the first idea of OLGW was that I took all my ocs and put them all in the same universe and pondered what could have happened, and that sparked the story that is today and whole original 2018-9 Chloe's deal is that she is being guarded by Fran and Sarah, beings from outer space, because Chloe picked up a necklace that was blessed. That story seems out of place now and repetitive given other chars sooo she may or not get snapped sorry 

This was super rambly compared to my last two bulletins I apologize, I just had so much to say about 2025 and 2026. I'd like to end this with saying IF my calculations are right, I should be able to afford a drawing tablet this year! After 2 years of mouse... although it might be more towards the end of the year,, (i mean if the economy doesn't backflip but they did release 55k criminals into the wild a week ago so idk)

ALSO 2026 will mark my 10th year of drawing seriously as a hobby! which should be my call to work on my improvements more... Technically its late-2016 since it was sometime close to fnaf sl custom night dlc's release! TYSM everyone for being here and reading this far!! 🫶🫶
