okay so i actually have started using this site a bit more,
because due to my mental health issues i've been distancing myself from my friends
(the exacts aren't really anyones business nor something i want to put on my bio)

toyhouse functions as a space for me to interact and obtain characters and ocs ^_^
it's really a saver for me especially in this time!!
obviously due to what i said before i probably won't have anyone (that i'm already friends with) to yap or develop my ocs with,
but i still cherish adding info and drawing them!! its rlly good that this site is giving me opportunities to draw more

you'll notice firstly that my ocs aren't organised by species or theme or whatever other people order them with,
they're just in three numbered folders within a folder called "display case".
the ones in #1 are the ones i actually care about, #2 and #3 are ones i don't care about but still have for whatever reason.
(could be because i'm tentative, plan on using it, plan on redesigning + gifting it, etc)
the ones in unsorted are ones i'm not sure where they lie

if you're planning on drawing any of my characters i will most likely direct you to folder #1 for that reason

another thing i think you should know is that i don't submit my own designs to this site.
you can probably see this if you open my designs tab.
i mean i used to do it but i don't anymore. doesn't mean i don't have ocs that i've entirely designed.
it's just that i personally don't see a need for me to add my original ocs to this site because:

i don't plan on trading them
when they fall out of use they dissipate... there's not gonna be anybody to complain i'm not using their design
if they're active they're active
(i'd hope the 2 above are implied)
it's too much work to add images and track lore, if i want to locate something i've said or drawn i can just check my friends' dms or MY MIND!!
makes me look like a hoarder even though i don't think hoarding your own designs is a concept that exists. again personal ocs dissipate when not in use.

i don't know what else, really. i just generally don't submit my own ocs to this site.
i personally just use this site to trade/obtain designs that aren't mine that i can then build onto

i only claim/offer for characters that i can genuinely see myself drawing or using, or designs that i really like.
i’ve gotten better at restraining myself from impulse claims.

i don't alter character names, tags, links
unless they don't have a name or i want to add on stuff to them.
that's why you might see some random "X"s or "free"s or whatever,
i do NOT fuck around with shit.

when uploading PERSONAL images
i almost always make the bio its metadata
because i’m a loser datahoarder archivist 🤓🤓
(i don’t do this with offer/commission/trade art though)

(23/02/2026) i'm an a-level student btw,
and both completing and locking in are gambles...
so there's a chance i might not prioritise certain art, and a chance i might not even finish art either!!
so please don't mind if i take a bit long to get art done!! life sucks :'D

i promise you i haven't forgotten, there's a character listing set to private in folder #2
of both any owed art and "self-owed" (i.e. any personal art ideas i have),
i keep it private as its a personal tracker and i cringe at the thought of others knowing my ideas written down LMFAO
