Weres are humans that have been bitten by a beastman who now have the ability to transform between a fully human form, an in-between form, and a beastman form. The transformations are at first, normally uncontrollable and triggered but the longer a person is a Were, the more control they will have over their transformations. (Tldr: You know *WERE*WOLVES? Yeah that's basically what this is but the animal isn't just wolves sooo the name of this species(?) is just Were.)
