snaps's Bulletins
since a few people have been asking in recent months, ive been avoiding opening commissions and such (aside from the occasional one i'll do when friends ask) because i'd rather not do work until i have a proper system for it. like specifically i would rather sit down one day and just make a google form, dedicated business email, TOS, and possibly trello(?) instead of jumping back into it. but i havent yet. i also just dont want to yet sincerely
customs are a different beast to me because i have run into a lot of issues when taking them in years prior (disregarding that it was probably because i took them through 50 cents worth of deviantart points). it usually goes like this: buyer has a really specific idea in mind, the design i make doesnt reflect what they want, custom goes through several changes, i end up being unsatisfied with my work, end transaction. it's just not a workflow i remember liking. so it could be one of two things: (a.) i dont take customs, or (b.) customs are at least partially artistic-liberty.
with that being said: is anyone even interested in the idea of artistic-liberty customs? the form would probably only allow describing a species, vibe, vague theme, or moodboard. it would disallow requesting more specific things like color palettes or accessories. to be more extreme, it would be the best for me if there was no buyer-feedback after the form was sent in (assuming no part of the given description is missed) although i do worry that this would upset people? however i would also be really repetitive about it being a surprise "you-get-what-you-get" thing. like itd be unmissable
this is just a heads up that i have a lot of reservations about doing owed work but in the indefinite future i'll Have To. since i havent opened anything in maybe years(?) random bits of freelancer advice are welcome as well. not as a full-time thing

reposting these since stuff has changed a lot from the last time i posted links. my activity has kind of centered there
my friends told me this was worth making a bulletin about, otherwise sorry if this is really trivial!
im generally uncomfortable with being labelled like "one of the pop designers" or having my art referred to as "snaps art/designs." not really for any deep reason it just creeps me out a bit to be put on a pedestal in that way. even simply rephrasing like "art by entity" would feel a lot better!
and if the above seems like a stupid thing to ask, ive had a long problem with feeling like im being 'put above' everyone else. or just generally not being regarded as an individual. and no, im not making this statement for anyone else except myself. thanks!
sorry for making another bulletin but some of my mutuals brought up this site and i thought it was relevant to my last post since its off maintenance now
feel free to follow me there if the site ends up working out!
this is something ive already been struggling with, but ive been having a really hard time sticking to a specific site/platform except for toyhouse
is there a common site that people have mainly migrated to for posting artwork? especially after deviantart switched to eclipse
the only thing i can think of using is twitter (account link if youre interested in following). other than that, id really like to hear about what other people are using
