after more than 6 years of doing art, i'm finally going full time
truth is, art always had my back- i was pulling $500-800 a month from it when everything else fell apart.
but i never went full time on purpose, because some part of me was scared that if art became "the job," it would stop being the one place that was just mine. the escape. the thing that didn't have deadlines tied to rent.
then i got fired again. and so far no luck finding anything else. and i had to ask myself: what am i actually protecting by keeping art a hobby, if the alternative is ending up back on the street? so i'm testing that fear.
i'm finding out if art can be both- the safe place AND the income, instead of picking one.
I will post updates of what I plan to do and how, and maybe if you are in the same spot I can provide some insight on how it looks from a very bad starting point where I dont have a safety net
and if you were ablt to make it happen: how? was it purely social media? marketing strategy?? I would love to hear any tips!!
