• Design TOS - Honsedogs

1. The following terms are for the case where you own a design I've created, tweaked for my honsedogs specifically. These replace the regular design rules.
   
   
2. Honsedog designs may not be significantly edited. Base design must remain. Accessories and minor details can be changed when making art. The official masterlist image will not change.
   [NEW] Honsedog designs may not be edited. When making art, you may add accessories such as tack and stylization. You may make changes to the mane/tail's hairstyle (length, braiding, styling), but you may not add long fur/hair where there isn't any on the import. The official masterlist import will not reflect these changes.
   1. If you want to turn your honsedog into an actual dog or actual horse or any animal, then you can change the design as much as you want, but it will be considered a separate character from your honsedog. But if ownership changes of the second design, it should still go together with the honsedog design. 
      [NEW, old rule did not account for ARPG transfers] You may create non-arpg 'AU' forms of your honsedog. These forms remain connected to your honsedog design, and may be uploaded to their character profile if clearly indicated in caption as an AU form. We do not allow transfers to ARPGs without prior permission. 
      
      
3. Honsedogs cannot be resold for USD/irl or any other real currency equivalent, eg. deviantart points, roblox, and game currency that can be converted back to irl currency via any means. It can only be resold for virtual currency and traded for art (including general art, designs, adopts, etc.)
   [NEW] Honsedogs may not be resold for IRL currency and any virtual currency that can be converted/ 'cashed-out' as an IRL currency, such as Deviantart points and robux. It may only be resold for ARPG currency or traded for other imports/designers, adopts, art, etc.
   
   
4. Honsedogs from free giveaways may not be resold, but can be gifted and traded away. Trades can only include other designs, adopts, or art.
   [ This rule will become defunct at some point, and all honsedogs with rule 4 clause will follow rule 3 ]
   
   
5. If a Guest Artist designed them, said artist's design TOS applies as well; be warned that I can not personally enforce this, it is up the guest artist to do so.
   [NEW] All designs made 2026 and later will follow the overarching Honsedog TOS.
   
   
6. Please do not breed your honsedogs. We do not have breeding established yet, so it is not a feature. Drawing hypothetical babies is fine, but you cannot make a character profile for them!
   
   
7. Rules 3 and 4 apply starting from the initial creation/sale.

• Masterlist TOS - Honsedogs

1. All ownerships must be updated on the Masterlist entry. If the Masterlist entry does not reflect the current owner, the trade is not official on our end.
   For previous owners: Please tag the new owner under the OWNERSHIP comment. If your honsedog is missing this comment, please message the masterlist account. Character profile should be transferred if possible; if not, include in your comment why not.

• General TOS

1. Making changes to art I create unless I explicitly give permission is not okay.

1. Do not remove my signature. 
2. Resizing the art is allowed. Editing the colors, adding filters, tracing it, etc, is not allowed.
3. Please refer to commercial use TOS for exceptions. 

2. Art you receive from me is for personal use. Please refer to commercial use TOS otherwise.

3. Do not use art not made for you, this should go without saying.

4. Please credit back to one of my main socials if you’re showcasing the art in public.

1. If this is on a game and I have an account on said game, feel free to credit that. If not, you should credit my toyhouse.
2. Credit me if you upload it to toyhou.se/sonagroves/etc. 

5. DO NOT redistribute my art. Do not repost adopts and art you get from me on DeviantArt. “I can credit you.” is not an excuse. 

6. I will not accept commissions with characters/character references made with AI trained by image crawlers or other non opt-in type of image gathering.

7. My art may not be used to train any image-based AI or be used in NFT-relevant projects.

• Commission TOS

1. I reserve the right to refuse an order.

2. By commissioning me, you agree to any applicable terms of service. Eg. Design TOS will not apply to non-design commissions.

3. You will not receive the finished art until payment is fulfilled. Payment will always be done at a certain point after the sketch is approved; I will state clearly when to pay on a case to case basis. 

4. Below is my refund policy. After your slot has have been started on you will not be able to get a full refund. You may contact me prior to sketches being sent for a full refund anytime.

1. Sketch Sent: 80% refund
2. Lines Done: 50% refund
3. Colors/Shading: No Refund

5. I will update you at the following stages: rough sketch, lines, and final art. I will allow up to two (2) line edits before colors are in and two (2) color edits after the colors are in. I will not make line edits after colors are set unless I've missed a character detail that can be seen on the reference sent.

1. You may request a WIP at anytime during this process.
2. You may view my trello for progress updates, these will be noted in the comments of each card on my queue.

6. I reserve all rights to my art and post most of my art on social platforms.

7. Please refer separately to my Commercial TOS for commercial and merchandise use of my work.

8. USD payments are preferably paid through Venmo. I generally do not take USD payments nowadays. 

• Commercial Use TOS

1. I have the right to say no to commercial use requests. 

2. I retain the rights to credit the work to my own accounts and name when I am posting it on socials and galleries for portfolio purposes only. Commercial use work can be used by the client where they see fit without credit to me, the artist. I will not use the art for any purposes that is not for display only.

3. Clients requesting the PSD will need to pay an extra fee. This fee will be 2x the original price PER artwork added onto the original, excluding recolors. So if the original work is quoted to be $10, the PSD will cost an additional $20 for a total of $30.

4. Commercial Use can include the following:
- Client wishes to use the artwork without credit to the artist.
- Client using the artwork on merchandise and products: game assets, stickers, attire, books, media, etc.

• Design TOS

1. The following terms are for the case where you own a design I've created.

2. My designs may be changed and tweaked as much as you'd like, as long as I remain credited for the original design regardless of how 'recognizable' it is.

3. If you purchased a design, you may not resell it for more than you paid for it unless extra art (+2 pieces) was made.

4. Follow-up to #3, if  the design was bought on a virtual pet site, it can only be resold for the same currency or traded for art. Trades can only include other designs, adopts, or art. Designs sold on these sites cannot be resold for USD or any other real currency. 

5. Designs from giveaways and art trades may not be resold, but can be gifted and traded away. Trades can only include other designs, adopts, or art.

• References

1. I need a clear reference sheet/ image. Unless you or the reference states otherwise, I’ll automatically assume the markings are symmetrical. 

2. If you have no reference sheet, I need a detailed written description of what you'd like. I will ask to clarify on details with you as the client. It may not turn out perfectly to your vision and you need to understand that. My edits limit still applies.

3. Artistic liberty is allowed, but I will still need some questions answered to find your preferences.
