hello!! i'm nix or starburst (or just starb, if you want)! i'm an aspiring animator and cartoonist, and i mainly draw furries. i've got a bunch of different characters and stories that i adore, some of which is currently privated. i make adopts sometimes, feel free to check them out! i suggest reading through my carrd, and you can find me on tumblr or bluesky as well.
the main story i've been working on for around 7 years now is grievance, which follows the story of my main fursona, nix. i keep a lot of it under wraps because i'd like to make something with it someday, but it's very near and dear to my heart. i also do a lot with captain starburst, an AU of nix. you can see some info about those guys below! i love talking about my characters, so feel free to reach out if you're ever curious about them!
i'm an avid character collector, mainly plane and pool toy designs, you can find most of them in my storage folder! even if i haven't drawn a character yet, that doesn't mean i don't cherish them ❤︎ (my "draw this thing" tag is for characters i plan on drawing myself!) please don't offer on any characters outside the sales folder. i usually have a few adopts or resales in there if you're interested. my commissions are also open- the information for that is in my carrd! i also have a ko-fi if you feel like throwing a couple bucks my way! thanks for reading!!
in a place known as the purpose, a small group of gods live out their eternities together. nix is the newest of the bunch, and he's grown to accept that- to the others- he might be the strangest. he's trying his best to go on as normal, but he feels isolated, and his slew of bad coping mechanisms makes it quite hard for him. when his best (and only) friend vinny starts spending less and less time with him, he finds it hard to keep it together.
grievance is a story that follows nix through a string of unfortunate circumstances that lead him to spiral downwards. he ends up placing his trust in the wrong person and, in turn, dooming himself and those around him.
captain starburst is an alternate universe version of nix from a world of superheroes and villains, known as superverse. he's a hero with a big heart and an exciteable personality, a lovely presence to be around. he's become a rather well known in recent years, both for his unique take on being a hero, and a bit of infamy from those who disagree with his ideals.
being a part of the classic "born in a lab" trope, starburst had some initial struggles getting his footing. his powers can be destructive, and it took him a while to learn to control them. nowadays, though, he's happily married and doing as much as he can to help those who need it!
having lived and died infinite lives as every possible iteration of nix, notoriety is the culmination of all those past versions. he's bitter and cold, he spent a long time trying to get revenge on his selves he deemed better than him. he's past most of that nowadays, trying to live as comfortable a life as possible, but he can't help but still be a little torn up about it.
notoriety comes from a collection of stories, all centered around the idea of the fourth wall, and relationships between character and creator. he resents the purpose his story serves, and he resents the facimile of an author that once tormented him. the things he's dealt with get a little easier to bear, though, as he finds that more and more people do actually care about him.
