Tagging System Update [ + a poll! 🪭]
Which Fandom [that I have a tag for] is Your Fav?
Since then, I've been pretty anal about tags (lol), and it was time for a revamp :)
Below is the write-up of my updated tagging system, which can be found on my characters page!
Species
OCs are tagged with feral, anthro, or humanoid plus species [ex. cat] and applicable specification [ex. peterbald].OCs in the for an eye folder are tagged with a lore-specific species. These are human, demon, angel, shade, and outlier.
OCs that are 2+ species are tagged with their species [ex. dog and cat] alongside the chimera tag. Humans with animal ears/tails are tagged with kemonomimi while those with a human upper half and animal lower half are tagged with taur or merperson. Characters may have shapeshifter and/or multiple forms tags if applicable.
Design
My designs are tagged based on creation date - ES [Elementary School], MS [Middle School], HS [High School], C [Undergraduate Student], and G [Graduate Student].OCs that I did not design have the not my design tag.
Gender & Sex
OCs are tagged with their gender - male, female, and/or nb [umbrella non-binary for simplicity].If applicable, OCs are tagged with FTM [female-to-male transgender], MTF [male-to-female transgender], intersex, and/or neopronoun user.
Sexuality
Some OCs are tagged with their sexuality. These tags are homosexual [and lesbian], bipan [under the Bi/Pan/Omni/etc. umbrella], heterosexual, and aspec [with additional asexual, demisexual, and aromantic tags].Race
All human designs and applicable humanoid designs are tagged with their race. These tags are white, black, asian [including south, central, and west asian OCs], latinx or hispanic, indigenous american [including applicable overlap with latinx or hispanic OCs], indigenous australian or pacific islander, ambiguous race [for OCs with ambiguous, natural-colored skintones] and mixed race. Mixed OCs, for QOL, are not tagged with any other race they identify with [ex. black, asian, and mixed race].Other Demographics
Humanoid and anthro designs are tagged with adult or minor. Any species can have the agelessimmortal tag if they are outside the traditional consideration of age.Disabled OCs are tagged with physical disability [includes Deaf and Blind OCs], neurodivergent, and/or cognitive impairment.
Visual Details
I tag some visual themes. These are rainbow, eyeburn, food themed, and strawberry themed.I tag OCs with missing eyes, extra eyes, and heterochromia.
I tag the clown and plague doctor professions.
Non-Visual Details
I tag some non-visual themes. These are coupled [OCs in relationships], comfort character, sona [OCs that are currently or were previously sonas], and baby's first [first OC of a closed species].Fan characters are tagged with their fandom, no abbreviations [ex. houseki no kuni oc instead of hnk oc].
Warriors OCs are tagged with their clan role. These tags are leader, deputy, medicine cat, elder, warrior, apprentice, kit, queen, loner, and kittypet.
My Little Pony OCs are tagged with their species. These tags are earth pony, unicorn, pegasus, alicorn, and changeling.
Among Us OCs are tagged with crewmate or imposter.
Pokémon OCs are tagged with 'pokemon oc' instead of 'pokémon oc' for my own sanity.
Other
Quality-of-Life tags are tags needed, unnamed, multiple character page, credit needed, and revamp.All OCs on this account are tagged with NFT [Not For Trade] and NFS [Not For Sale]. If you want to see characters for trade/sale, check out swart :)
Chicoons may have the tags chicoonification [non-chicoon OCs turned into chicoons], event trait [have a seasonal/event trait], v3 traits [have a v3-approved traits list], and/or boothrunner [mascot for an event booth]. Unofficial and Official companions are tagged with chicoon companion and their species [ex. shromp].

If you're seeing this, go into my characters and give me an old OC to redesign! Try to stick to characters that are 5 years old or older. If they're designed by me, they'll have a MS or HS tag for Middle School/High School, even if they were submitted recently ^^
Please no designs from closed or open species! They will have a "closed species" or "open species" tag to indicate this :) except for noodle cats. i'll do noodle cats <3

I'm graduating with a BFA in Illustration this Spring. I'm looking for advice for my website (what to include, what not to include, etc.) for a portfolio.
BUT- here's the thing! I will not be pursuing a career in Illustration. My Bachelor's is just a stepping stone to get my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) to be a K-12 teacher. As such, my website doesn't need to be "industry marketable", just something I use to advertise commissions or sell characters.
If you have examples of websites you like (including yours!), please drop 'em! I'm especially interested in seeing websites people use to sell OC designs. mwah mwah

Hello! I wanted to give a heads up that I'll be unlinking my Chicken Smoothie and TH accounts in the near future.
This doesn't mean much- I'm not "LEAVING CS (FREE PETS)" and I won't be doing a 180 in the content I post. But you might see some curse words and blood! I will be using the appropriate censors provided by TH. I will NOT be posting NSFW art on here, either authorized or unauthorized.
