I- okay first of all omg I'm so flattered by the reception that Bramblings have gotten so far SOBS?? I truly expected like, at max 10 people to join so I'm ;^;
buuuut because of that I initially planned to keep it open lowkey through the rest of April. However that wouldn't be so much of a closed beta, would it?

So what I have planned is I'm going to keep the discord open for new applicants for:
48 hours, until 6PM EST on April 7th -OR- until 25 Beta Testers have joined.

At my point of writing this the closed beta has 18 Members, so if you were potentially interested in joining I'd do so sooner rather than later!

All slots are logged on the masterlist, if you'd like an idea on the availability. However once I reach 25 beta slots on the masterlist I'll close this journal down- So! If this bulletin is listed as OPEN applicants are still graciously appreciated and welcomed!

NOTE: If the member cap reaches 25 but the masterlist hasn't been updated/this bulletin's still open I WILL honor it so don't you worry. Just, in the event that people join while I'm asleep or otherwise unavailable. It would be unfair to close applicants without giving ample warning <3
The member list on discord also isn't wholly accurate because there's The Me and The Bots there so yeah use the ML as a litmus not the discord numbers

Boundary walkers, colloquially known as Bramblings, are a demi-human clade of people intrinsically connected to the fringes of our known realm and what lies beyond.
Initially wholly human, every brambling has been influenced at a formative age by an unseen (and mostly unknown) force that sits in a universe parallel to our own, this method its only means of direct contact with our dimension.

Infected by a substance only known as The Bramble, this hard carbon ichor remains dormant until around when the individual reaches adulthood- at which point the bramble spontaneously mutates its host in fantastical ways and gifts them a sixth sense to locate others of their kind. Often likened to and sharing folkloric commonalities with faefolk, bramblings are a people who no longer feel a connection to the human world and forge communities with ones' own; What they end up Doing with this desire for connection and mutual understanding however greatly depends on the individual.

Howdy! Long time no see! I've been working on this species on and off since around September, and I'm proud to announce it's finally to a point where I can share it!
But it's still a work in progress, which is where I could use the help ;0;

Bramblings are a lore-based 18+ Closed Species with (Coming soon!) ARPG elements that covers themes of identity and community, as well as whispers of cosmic and folk horror all bundled into one. Think changelings but shifted to the eldritch end, coupled with conflicts of spiritual ideals versus the encroaching information age. Oh, and mysterious interplanar dealings. I intend the species' lore to be open ended and mostly optional, and though it may creep into some dark corners that's not something that one has to engage with.

BECAUSE of the more mature subject matter, and out of my own personal comforts in regards to engaging with these sorts of themes, is what led to the decision in this being an Adult Only space. I don't think I have, many minors following me? but this is really my one caveat I'd rather not engage with in this circumstance. So long as you're at least 18 and a follower of mine you're free to join the closed beta.

As things stand, the brambling discord is completely set up and resources to create your own MYOs are available, with the species guide and subtype documents complete with full visual references. Within the next few weeks I'm hoping to have the visual accompaniment of the written trait guide complete, and I have a (currently private) toyhou.se world I'm chipping away at as well. But while I'm finishing up these last few assets, I'd like to know what YOU think! So I'm going to need some beta testers for feedback on the design process as it is currently <3

All beta testers will receive a BETA MYO, granting the tester use of a brambling MYO slot of any of the three currently available subtypes, with UP TO two uncommon traits PLUS either a rare trait or a splice.
Beta testers also will be granted a special role within the discord, as well as advances and updates before release to the general public, even after the full release.
This includes, but isn't limited to, early access to prompts and shop features.
There's also some exclusive extra goodies I plan on gifting to beta members, though what they are is a secret   

So if this species is of any interest to you, I HIGHLY recommend joining in on the fun early! Help you help me and I'll be forever grateful

Hey gamers 🥴

Long story short and without disclosing too much personal information- that hurricane huh?

I live somewhere that was hit Particularly hard and we’ve Just gotten spotty cell service in what’s otherwise been a total blackout for days. Me and mine are completely fine, and lucky as far as things are concerned, though we’re still without power and water and likely will be for the foreseeable future.

While I wouldn’t ever say I’m in a point of crisis, this has kinda thrown a wrench into the everything and my life’s on pause LMAO- so once power and WiFi’s back, likely expect some sales/resales OTL

Well wishes to anyone else who’s been/had loved ones affected as well I know this blindsided a lot of people hope y’all are safe and okay

UPDATE:: 
After a week, power and (albeit INCREDIBLY SPOTTY) wifi's been restored to our household. However, we still don't have running water, and don't know the timetable on that save that it may still be weeks from now. Missing being able to take showers and use the toilet like a motherfucker about now.

Most stores and businesses are still cash only, however some ATMs are functioning it's just a whole Process what with the increased demand. But anyways!! Once I've got the energy to collate things I'll make a bulletin + probably forum post for sales and junk I just gotta.. decompress for a bit first HAAAH
