The capital of Novia, the shining star of the five cities, the place where every high-profile celebrity, millionaire, or government worker lives. Altair has the most influence, the most power, and the most money of all the cities. The buildings and streets are all maintained meticulously, everyone is dressed with a personal, yet calculated flair. Here you can get high-quality, tailored clothing made of expensive, imported material, or exotic food from alien cultures from the deep reaches of outer space... That is, of course, if you can afford it.
The oldest city of Novia, with a rich history built into its very walls. Rather than demolish its polluted city and start all over again, Arcturus has decided to build upwards, hiding its ruins with the lavish and grand architecture of the Sunshine Towers, which acts as the shining achievement of Arcturus. But this isn't the full story, as most of the population lives down below in the Twilight Avenues and Midnight Streets. While the Twilight Avenues are at least presentable, the Midnight Streets and Graveyard are a grim reminder of the price of progress.
Arguably the most natural and beautiful city around, with trees, plants, and bushes lining every street, as well as access to a forest and the plains of the countryside. Bellatrix has the most natural flora in all of Novia. The neighborhoods are reminiscent of a white picket-fenced, suburban utopia. Family-owned shops, public parks, Bellatrix prides itself on community and prosperous middle-class life. A city to raise a family in, so long as you can ignore the discrimination and clear line between species.
The seaside, crowded city of Capella is in stark contrast to its neighboring city, Altair. You wouldn't even believe that part of Altair used to belong to Capella once upon a time. Capella has a high population count and plenty of houses to show for it, it may not be the richest city, but the sense of community is strong, especially after its history of disasters, both natural and manmade. Capella suffers from rainy, humid weather, storms and occasional floods are common. Everything about this city seems to be... wet, with a booming aquatic business dealing in anything to do with sailing or fishing, to how part of it is built in swampland. At least its seafood is delicious.
A city with high stakes, high adrenaline, high crime rates, high riches, high everything. Hadeus is a city you visit at night to forget the boring, staleness of your everyday life. Just one step and your eyes are flooded with the neon lights lining every street and the flashy clothing of Hadeus' outspoken, unique residents. The city of chaos. The city where everything goes and everyone keeps their hands over the wallets in their pocket and an eye over their shoulder.
