yes, you read that right. :') due to some circumstances [that i'll elaborate under the spoiler below], our savings of around 4k USD [50+ million IDR] is lost. i never want to make bulletins like this often, if ever, but the situation is so stressful to me and my family, i worry that it'll have catastrophic effects to my elderly parents' health. it's with great shame that i have to ask for help online like this through donations and not commissions, but i wish to deliver the best pieces within my physical abilities and don't want to produce half-assed rushed art...
i don't expect the entire 4k to be reached, but donations are greatly appreciated to help with our daily expenses...!

the story is that my mother got scammed. in an attempt to earn money to pay off the loans we have in order to live in our beloved capitol Jakarta, she tried a side gig that claimed it could double or triple the investment she gave. it had the modus operandi of giving people "work accounts" that hold their money. you invest money, the display in your work account displays a bigger number (double or triple), and you try to withdraw it... only to be told by the admin that you made a mistake and now your account is locked. to unlock it, you have to pay more.
in total, we've lost around Rp. 65.000.000, or roughly USD 4000. my mother is in her 50s and isn't savvy to online scamming methods, and she's very, very distressed with the situation. she works outside of Jakarta, so we aren't able to be there for her, and she's been having dark thoughts because of this situation. my father also is unemployed, which means my mother and i are the sole breadwinners of the household. she pays for rent and other bills, whilst i pay for our gas and food. my sister is a full time design student and can't look for work, and my youngest brother is only 12.
i feel shame in having to air out my situation like this, but living costs and wages truly do not align here in Jakarta, and this incident truly is a big hole in our livelihoods.

hi!!!!! hello! it's been a bit [whilst also being a period filled with updates] but i'm here once more for a bit of transparency!
general life update and details under this spoiler!!
so my internship at my local government body has been going alright!! it's a fairly new clinic which means not many patients come by other than those with still ongoing treatment and mandatory sessions. unfortunately due to the nature of living in Jakarta, this means that about 3 of the 5 work days in a week will be spent at work from waking at 5AM to avoid traffic and arriving home at 5-6PM (again, traffic). factoring in my studies (which include the early, early drafting of my thesis paper and my internship report), this leaves me... super exhausted most of the time fherughriug
that being said i'm aware of my current condition and don't plan to take on more commissions than i can take and will focus on finishing the current queue i have within the month! i deeply apologize for my slow progress and again am super thankful for everyone's understanding...!!!
tldr; work is slow due to life! but here is a new, shiny thing to hopefully keep transparency at max whilst also not requiring me to dm clients one by one -- a trello board!!!!
historically i've always had issues with keeping myself on track but having to-do lists in discord channels don't cut it for me anymore, so i now have a trello i permanently have on my browser sjoergu .... it will be updated according to the progress i've made with commissions!!
second of all, i'm on vgen!! i'm still setting things up and won't be taking commissions there until i finish my current queue, but i'm still open for f4f!!! i hope it can further streamline the commissioning process huhu
third... some misc interest checks and promotions! i've been wondering if you all would be interested with a stamp card/loyalty card thing? if you were to make a purchase a certain number of times (be it commissions or adopts), you could redeem rewards of some sort? discount tickets, a bonus piece of art... idk!! it just sounds fun!!

recently i've gotten accepted to intern full-time until december at quite a big government body, which means that alongside with the start of a new semester, i will be quite slow with commissions...! i will be trying to make either a public notion or trello to better organize my workload and add a layer of transparency with my current commission queue and progress..!
