It doesn't matter how much she cleans up her hair or dolls her up with cute accessories, a harpy is a harpy, and Gryphon really wishes Yvonna would get rid of her. She knows better than to hope, though.
She loves him so, so much. She will always be grateful for his presence in her son's life, and feels a sense of love and gratitude for the Lonestar boys knowing that their friendships with Thresher helped him shape his identity and begin to settle gracefully into adulthood, but in addition to that, she feels honored to have watched Ronnie grow up into the passionate, social, courageous, and loving person he is today. She has always had a special place in her heart for him, and is proud to have had a hand in supporting him and raising him up when he needed her. Her home will always be open to him, and his safety and happiness are personally and Deeply meaningful to her. She believes in Ronnie with her entire being, and takes great pride in being a place of shelter for him--somewhere safe to rest his wings between flights. She wants to see him soar.
