Sarafan, the Desert

The eldest kingdom in Lunae, Sarafan endured many rises and falls during its time. This empire, led by the unbroken bloodline of Aval, covers most of the desert region including sandwastes and lavish coasts. Sarafan draws in bounty hunters with its long history and forgotten relics, dungeons and most commonly djinn. It is home to several of Lunae's races such as Asharaan and the Ishin. 
Sarafan is a popular resort spot and is known for being rich in gold and gemstones. They are the most skilled jewelers in Lunae. The art of lancing is also very common, with the lance being a staple weapon in the empire. The people of the desert are known to be hospitable but dangerous if rubbed the wrong way. Harsh sandstorms have roughed many of its citizens along the edges, as has the scalding heat and sparse rain.
