These past couple of years have been such a monumental time for me and my stories. Before, I used to be really scared to make my characters overtly black. Now I have so many black ocs from different walks of life who all reflect different parts of me and my culture.

Additionally, I think 2022 was the first year in a long time that I’ve met so many black creators. I treasure every single one of you and I’m so grateful and appreciative of everyone for their friendship and support of my work. I know right now is very difficult, but I know we will persevere amongst all odds. 

I promise to keep making stories and art that shows that love and culture. Thank you so much and I hope everyone has a lovely February 🖤✊🏿
