I use an elaborate tagging system for all of my characters so that finding a specific type of character is easy! I have over 700 characters, so this helps me in keeping them more organized and manageable. Feel free to use this system on your own toyhouse!

Here are the main categories that I apply to every character: 

Human, Humanoid, Anthro, Feral, Object, Non-character

Beginner's tip: (Characters will almost never belong to more than one main category so it's important to note that if you want to search for more than one category, you'll need to subtract the categories you don't want instead of adding the categories you do want. Ex. If you try to search for both Anthro and Feral characters at the same time by adding them, then toyhou.se will only show you the characters with BOTH the anthro and feral tags instead of showing you ALL anthros and ferals at the same time.)

I also use optional sub-categories such as:

!Warning tags!: (Usually I will put a warning up on the profile for anything too dark but this is for extra clarity and borderline characters that may have just a few sensitive topics. I Don't have any Nsfw characters. This is for viewer discretion purposes. Images will also be properly marked so as long as you have your content warnings set how you like it, you shouldn't have to worry about seeing anything potentially disturbing)

Gore(Usually light. Heavy gore is a bit much for me.), Violence (gun, fighting, murder, brutal stuff, physical abuse, torture, etc.), Depression (caution: may include suicidal thoughts), Anxiety, Trauma (PTSD, traumatic/triggering events and flashbacks, etc.), Psychotic.

Wip tags: Needsname, Needslit (needing literature/more developed), Needsconnect (needs other chars to connect to) Needsart (characters that I need to update artistically. Not necessarily a character without art or that needs a full redesign.) Needsprofile (a character that needs their profile neatly arranged. Characters that are still needslit don't qualify) Needspersonal (characters that may have a story/literature but not much personality?), Worldbuild (Characters that need a world for their story), Needsadvanced (Anything that has a decent amount of information but will still need more effort to reach completion. This tag is for more complex and more in depth development.) Needscolor, Needsref (an active list of ocs I really need a ref sheet for so I can commission other artists to draw them or artfight)
